Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Feb 25 2024

I don't know enough about jazz music to give a thoughtful review but listening to the album this morning was a real pleasure.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Feb 26 2024

Always enjoyed Bon Jovi's radio hits but never bought an album. Listened to this one all the way through and still liked the radio hits best. Brought back great memory of Sambora and Bon Jovi's acoustical version of Wanted Dead or Alive at the 1989 MTV awards...one of the best awards show live performances. Found it on YouTube and it still holds up.

I listened to some of this and it just isn't my thing. Which makes me want to find out more about it ending up on the best albums list.

Mar 10 2024

Had not heard of Bill Callahan. Tried to listen to the album but couldn't. Would like to hear/read a description of how it ended up on best album of year lists and this one.

Dookie by Green Day
Mar 11 2024

I was late to Green Day but really liked them when I finally started listening to them. This album has a couple of classics.

Our Aim Is To Satisfy by Red Snapper
Mar 14 2024

Ironic title. Not much to say about it on Wiki. When I Wiki’d the band it said they had a ‘compilation of unreleased and rare Red Snapper tracks’. Can a band have rare tracks if no one’s heard of them? I’m listening to the first song…drugs might help its enjoyment. But I don’t have any. I guess when you have a list of 1001 something, you can cast the net pretty wide. I must say this exercise is exposing me to many different artists and styles of which I was unaware. This is an album I’d want to tell my music friends “Oh my gosh I just heard the greatest album! You have to listen to it.” And then play it for them and while I’m extolling its virtues, watch their faces.

Never heard of them or any songs. Total 80s vibe.

Parachutes by Coldplay

All Coldplay songs sound the same to me.
