I appreciate the influence this might have had at the time it was released but it’s definitely not something I would choose to listen to without a recommendation. It was definitely good and pretty catchy, but didn’t really blow me away.
I loved it! Surprised to get such a good one as my second album on here. Lost in the Supermarket and Train in Vain absolutely fuck
Several tracks got on my nerves a bit but overall I thought it was really chill. I’m usually not one to listen to instrumental music but I actually really felt it this time. One thing I did not like was how I would find myself really loving the beat and getting lost in it a bit but then it would be interrupted by a random sample of someone speaking.
I’d heard a few of these songs before and as much as I hate to admit it based on how much I hate Kanye as a person, I really loved this album. I really didn’t want to give him my first 5 of this project but I can’t deny the man’s musical talent no matter how much I may dislike him.
Going in the only songs I thought I knew were 7 nation army and I just don’t know what to do with myself, but I was surprised to discover upon listening that I’d actually heard most of these songs at some point or another. Also, the title of this album definitely fits the energy of the music which is cool.
A lot of songs sounded very similar but I still enjoyed listening all the way through. I love when songs have sax or harmonica and this album had a lot of both which was great.
Very good, I was not expecting the more ambient tracks to be there but I think they were my favorite part.
I’m not a huge fan of jazz but it doesn’t feel fair to give this a 1 or 2 just because I don’t care for the genre much.
Pretty nice relaxing album for a rainy morning. His voice is incredibly calming. I kind of hate a lot of the lyrics though
Loved it in middle school and I still love it now. I’m probably biased because of nostalgia
The type of shit my little brother used to listen to when we were younger. I liked a couple songs but most were way too similar and boring.
Going to be honest, I was only able to listen to disc 1 all the way through. I listened to one song each from the other discs and I really don’t think I missed out on much by not listening to it all. I just don’t have 3 hours to spare for that today. Her voice is beautiful no doubt, but it was just a lot of the same.
Definitely my favorite album I have gotten on here so far. I’ve seen the cover so many times and listen to a lot of similar music so I’m really glad I was finally prompted to listen to this. I regret not checking it out sooner.
Not bad by any means but a lot of the same. Went in one ear and straight out the other for the most part.
