Stankonia by OutKast
Jun 05 2024

A true classic of early 2000s hip hop. So Fresh So Clean, Ms. Jackson... All time faves.

Harvest by Neil Young
Jun 06 2024

Very mellow. Much more my usual speed than Stankonia. Heart of Gold is of course a classic. Good music to write to!

Jun 07 2024

Starts off really strong with a driving guitar and drum riff! To be honest, David Byrne's vocals have never been my favorite, reading instead as very gimmicky to me. But the instrumentation is strong. Take Me To The River is the best song on the album.

"God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" is a lot harder rock than more modern Coldplay is. It gives me big Radiohead vibes.

Jun 09 2024

A huge classic. I have lots of memories of belting out songs from this album during that time of my life.

Liquid Swords by GZA
Jun 10 2024

I don't usually listen to this sort of hip-hop. The opening of the album isn't bad, but they're kind of losing me with Cold World... The instrumentation and the vocals sound like they're in two different keys and the dissonance isn't doing it for me.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jun 11 2024

Another Talking Heads album... I'm not opposed. Except David Byrne's voice is still pretty grating. Psycho Killer has been stuck in my head all day now.

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Jun 12 2024

Very chill, good music to have on in the background as I work

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Jun 13 2024

Not exactly what I would have chosen to listen to on my own. But not bad.
