Gorillaz by Gorillaz

I hate this album. This isn't coming from any bias, as I have never listened to it before, and I actually like a few Gorillaz songs - but this album is just absolute dogshit. It's inattentive, vapid, uncreative, boring, and honestly painful to listen to. I had to fight the urge to turn it off half way through. Fuck this album.

Queen II by Queen
Jul 09 2024

From Father to Son rocked, the instrumentals were great Love how the songs transition from one to another Ogre battle was good Rest of the album felt like regular queen, it was okay - I did like the transition between songs being mostly seamless I'm still not the biggest fan of Queen, but I'd give this a 3.5 if I could

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jul 10 2024

Phenomenal album, great fusion of funk and notes of jazz. Album flowed so well I hardly noticed when the songs changed. Will definitely be listening to again Taj Mahal was a standout track

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jul 11 2024

To some (or most), I assume this is an enjoyable album. The first half (up until before Yellow) was fairly tolerable, and I can't lie, I didn't mind Spies (maybe because their lead singer shuts the fuck up for some of the song). I just can't stand Coldplay, though I completely understand why fans would love this record. For me, however, this album was painful to get through.

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 12 2024

I mean, who doesn't like Bob Marley? This album was great, it definitely didn't sound any different than any other Bob Marley songs, but it's always a good listen.

How Many Mics has such a funky gangsta feel - loved that song. Ready or not - who doesn't like that song? The restaurant skit was funny as fuck and led straight into a bomb ass song. This album is an absolute classic and a must-listen if you are a fan of 90's hip-hop. Easy 5.

Dare! by The Human League
Jul 15 2024

We all know this is a good album. There was some boring songs midway through the album, but come on - Don't You Want Me Baby is an all time classic.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Jul 19 2024

Such an underrated album. Jurassic 5 rock.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Jul 20 2024

Walk on by is such a classic sample, I never even knew this was the original record. Honestly this album was so good until the last song, which dragged on with making random noises. I'd give this a 4 if it wasn't for the last song (which ironically is a quarter of the whole album) being such a letdown. First 3 songs rock though and this album is definitely worth a listen.

Reign In Blood by Slayer
Jul 28 2024

Come on man. It's one of the best speed metal albums of all time. There's definitely a lull in the middle of the album where a lot of the songs sound similar - but Slayer just rocks. The title track is an all-time favourite.

I wrote a longer review for this but must have forgotten to save it. Weird ass album. I enjoyed the instrumentals, the guitars and drums were great - but the fucking vocals just sounded like a Robert Plant ripoff. Secondly, what the fuck was with the oriental riff in the Bangkok song? What the fuck? I'd give this a 4 if it wasn't for the shitty vocals. It's listenable though.

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Aug 06 2024

Weep themselves to sleep was alright. I'm shakin cover was decent. Outside of that, I found this album pretty uninspiring.

American Pie by Don McLean
Aug 07 2024

This album is pretty mid. I think it's one of those albums held up by the title track (which is obviously brilliant). If American Pie wasn't on this song I'd give it a 2.
