Let It Bleed
The Rolling StonesI've never heard the Stones beyond what's on the radio. I was surprised at the almost Southern American sound present here, and the almost goofiness of some of the songs. A solid album, and I'm glad I listened to it.

Not my scene. What I listened to was good, I get why people like it. But it's just a little too croon-y for me.
Solid 60s Britrock
Apparently, Sigur Ros is not my thing. I always thought they were more atmospheric black metal. This just isn't my scene.
I don't like Prince
Weird. Good weird, even if it's not my style. Lots of Regina Spektor vibes, though very much their own thing. At another point in my life, this would have really resonated with me. For now, I recognize that it's very good, I'm glad I listened, but I doubt I'll revisit this, at least any time soon.
It was fine. I'm not a huge REM fan, but they're fine.
Meh. 90s whine-rock.

A classic, but I can see why Bob Dylan is an acquired taste/divisive. I grew up listening to his music, so this one's a winner.
Meh
Boy oh boy is this a lot of the Beach Boys. Seminal work in a lot of ways, paved the way for a lot of modern music. But my god am I not feeling it.
Excellent
A classic. The soundtrack to my teenage years.
Not bad. Very of its time, but in a good way. Can see how this album would be at least partly responsible for a lot of the "sound" of the '90s. Also, wonder if Modest Mouse was at all influenced by this album/band...
Man, disco sucks. Like, the music is good, but the lyrics are just awful. Who sings about this shit?
U2 cannot escape Bono. This earlier stuff is obviously influential, and I very much like the protesting nature of it. But I really dislike U2.
