Truly an all-timer.
I wasn't quite into it at the start, but that quickly changed and I ended up listening to the whole thing four times yesterday. Great album that'll definitely go in my rotation.
Smooooooth. Maybe too smooth. But rather nice still.
Decent rap album. I was starting to feel it on the second go around, but it feels like a mixed bag.
Great album full of wonderful music with biting lyrics. I kept playing it again and again.
Inoffensive and rather boring hard rock. The "Born to Be Wild" cover seemed rather pointless.
Very late-90s British. Lead single was played a lot back then. Somewhat boring in parts, but with some decent songs as well.
Very theatrical; too much for me. I was enjoying it more on the second listen and I could see it going up a bit if I listened even more, but right now I feel I don't want to.
A long-time favorite. Very interesting sound, one of the standout albums of the 90s Bristol "trip-hop" era. Very creative but fits well together, with great vocals by Martina Topley-Bird. And the Public Enemy cover is a banger.
I like the sound of the guitar, but overall this isn't doing much for me.
They're a band and they're sounding good I like to play their album that's understood
I don't know what to make of this one. I didn't dislike it, but I don't think I'll be playing it more often.
I remember a fair amount of the material here from when I still listened to the radio in the 90s... some decent songs here, but not particularly interesting.
This was very good.
Early Nick Cave. I didn't find this enjoyable overall, but did like a song or two.
Very nice classic gangsta rap album.
I haven't listened to this in a while, but used to play it a lot in the past. It's a great album, very varied, with a bit of stealth Deltron 3030 action. Never cared too much for Gorillaz lore, but it stands on its own without the gimmicks. 4.5 stars, but I'll round it up.
I thought I'd like it more than I did. I didn't dislike it though, some funky beats and some catchy tracks, but there's plenty of early 90s hiphop that I'd listen to over this.
Some decent songs, but I'm not feeling the arrangements at all.
Classic hip hop album that I somehow never listened to in full. It's really good. Maybe leaning a little to hard into the skits, but it's alright, because the main material is worth it. Ecutez et repetez.
I've never consciously listened to Steely Dan (though I recognized a song or two), but I had an absolute blast with this one - it's great songs with great arrangements, a hint of Jazz, smooth and catchy. I kept listening to it all day.
