At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Sep 26 2024

Helluva first album pick. I actually own this one on vinyl.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Sep 27 2024

Another album I'm very familiar with. Favorite song is probably Pennies from Heaven or Anything Goes. Kept me in a good mood all day

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Sep 30 2024

Did not like it. Not my thing at all.

I actually really enjoyed this one. To me, Queen had kinda turned into trendy white girl music. Ever since that movie came out, I'd pretty much stopped listening to them. That's all to say it was great to kinda rediscover them. Other than Killer Queen, all these songs were new to me. It felt very British, very anti-industrial, and very explosive. Great listen, although it is not really my favorite kind of music. Found "Now I'm here", to probably be my favorite. Edit: there's something real special in how the album ends. Lap of the Gods revisited just feels 'great' don't know how to describe it

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Oct 02 2024

Yeah... Not really sure what that was.

Never heard it before and was very surprised to find something I should've known about already
