This album starts shaky, but once you hit Take Me Out it’s banger after banger.

Not quite what I was expecting from either the band name or the album art, but I enjoyed this. I’m a sucker for this kind of sound and, despite the subject matter, found it oddly relaxing. I’ll definitely listen to this again.

Optimist: The glass is half full. Pessimist: The glass is half empty. Nick Cave: People destroyed my glass but at least I have the Lord.

It did take me a few songs to get used to this, but I did enjoy it once I had.

I like the vibe, but a little of it went a long way.

Probably my favourite Beatles album. Not as experimental or groundbreaking as the likes of Revolver or Sgt. Peppers (though it has its moments), just a collection of really good songs by a group on the verge of breaking up. I’m no musical expert but I love the bright “sunny” sound of the album (and that’s not just because Here Comes The Sun is on it). I could listen to the trio of Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End over and over and over.
