Great album, introduced me to ‘country music’ (belatedly) and has been a great favourite since.

Landmark album. Clapton spurred on by Allman to create something magnificent. The biggest highlight post Cream for Eric.

Seminal R&B album.

Never been a fan of the Purple Prince, too poptastic and alternately bland for me, great musician, guitarist and producer though he was. Purple Rain the track is a highlight for so many, including many well respected artists but to me it’s a bit of a drone. Sorry 😂

Absolute brilliant album, probably Neil’s best.

The best Stones album, for me. More grit, I suspect as Keith had more input with the recording in the basement of his (then) chateau.

A great first album from a band that carved a unique course across this and their second album, tapping into a unique reggae and dub vibe. It was a pity that they chased commercial interests after with more ‘poppy’ offerings that lost the previous soul and invention in the music.

This is a great first rock album, full of the Crowes trademark energy that lasted them throughout their stellar career.
