1001 Albums Summary

Surprised by the southern roots-equestrian instrumentation throughout the album. As someone not very familiar with the Stones, I pictured a much more classic rock sound to accompany one of their albums placed on a list such as this. The harmonicas, piano, and guitars created a very different atmosphere. I think the big lack, at least to me, was the lack of anything super catchy or sticky

Lots of moving parts with the instrumentation, but it all felt very cohesive and focused. Different grooves for every track, with clear progressions

Up and down for me. Some of it felt like very overproduced stadium rock, others felt like timeless music

Having already listened to What’s The Story Morning Glory, this feels a bit heavier, a bit of a different feel from the more lush feeling of that album. Still enjoyed it.

Not much to say on this one. Pretty good, a couple hits, sounded as expected. Nothing blew me away, good songwriting.

First dip of my toes into real reggae, and I enjoyed it

First album I really couldn’t vibe with. Felt repetitive and boring to me.

I thought a lot of this was classy and catchy. Just not good enough to warrant the full 4 stars

Surprised by how many songs on this I didn’t care for. Anything that wasn’t trying to be catchy felt samey and boring to me. A few hits for sure but didn’t like it much

I can see why people say this is the greatest guitarist of all time
