It was pretty alright, nothing jumped out at me but it’s an enjoyable listen for sure. California Dreamin is an absolute all timer. Do you Wanna Dance beach boys cover??
Screamy man screamy man! If you collect vinyl you know this is a prog rock all timer, how have I not listened to it before? This was epic. The only track I didn't like was the boring ahh Moonchild, only reason I brought this down to four stars. Maybe I'm just not high IQ enough to enjoy it.. but I was bored. Every other tune was a pleasure to listen to. I thoroughly enjoyed and will be revisiting this album for years to come. Now I just need to get it on vinyl.
How did I never realize the beginning of Bad was the song used in all those TikTok sports edits lmao. I can recognize why people like this but it just really isn’t for me. Meh.
This album is extremely important and I can recognize how great it is, but didn’t quite catch my ear like a 5/5 album would, personally.
I feel like I will like this more when I'm 40 years old. It was an interesting listen tho.
Doesn’t contain my favorite Fats Domimo songs but nonetheless this man created rock and roll and all these songs fucking bang. The piano part in La La had me fucking gassed let’s fucking go I love Fats Domino shoutout NOLA baby 5/5 ALLL DAYYYY!!!!!
pretty good fun
this shit so ass but 2 bc its different
This album was awesome I really fucked with this. Heart of Glass and One Way or Another are classics in my eyes. Both have good stories: One time I was driving my neighbor, Dougie, home from school. We were tired of listening to my Spotify playlists, and randomly agreed to listen to some good ole' FM radio instead. The song that came on right after we switched was Heart of Glass by Blondie, the first time we both ever heard it! We both instantly loved it and would listen to it together to and fro from school quite often :). One Way Or Another I used in my short film for a high school film class. All my classmates really liked that short film I made and I remember the year after I took that class, students in the current class would come up to me and say how much they loved that film I made, I was very proud of myself :). So overall, this album houses two songs that I have good memories with, and I loved the rest of it. Funny how I never checked it out after liking these two songs. 5/5!
I really liked this, so amazing considering this is right at the beginning of heavy metal. Love the use of ambient noises and instruments you wouldn’t expect. So good
I can just tell if I listen to this album more it will grow to be one of my all time favorites
I have a core childhood memory of my power going out and the last thing I was doing before the internet cut was watching the YouTube video for In Da Club, so all I could do for 4 hours was repeat the first 20 seconds of the video that buffered. Must’ve listened to it 100 damn times out of boredom. I like the big songs from this album, aforementioned In Da Club, P.I.M.P, Many Men, 21 Questions. All pretty good. But nothing that’s gonna go down in my own personal canon of great music. 50s come up story is legit tho brother truly got saved from the streets by his music ability. 3/5
I have fond memories of this album: owning a CD player type FM stereo and popping my Dookie CD in it that I got from the Mall's FYE. Playing Minecraft on the 360 with my brother while listening to Dookie. Good memories. Now, I'm not completely in love with every song but it holds up and will always be an enjoyable listen.
I knew the title track off this album before listening :P It was pretty good, nothing jumped off the paper as tickling my fancy but it was soulful, chill, and I would throw it on here and there for sure.
This was a cool album I will definitely be coming back too. Fits multiple vibes.
whole lotta yapping. like shut up brother
Okay. Just okay. Wanted to dislike it more because Steven Tyler is a creep-o but my simpleton brain likes some tracks, ugh. Aerosmith were like the third choice for the rock-n-roller coaster at disney world. I always wondered why they were chosen. Like who thinks back on music history and were like "Aerosmith... now that was a band." Like there's no way. I imagine they were really popular among the people who didn't really dive into the better music of the decade. What do I know tho this shit was okay ig. Unrelated: I remember riding the aforementioned rock-n-rollercoaster as a kid and hearing "Dude Looks Like a Lady" for the first time and I thought that's a bit strange chat is this offensive? It was stuck in my head the rest of vacation, haunting me. I'm gonna go listen to it now god damn it me and my pea pleb brain. 3/5 grudgingly
