The Dark Side Of The Moon
Pink FloydI really like this album - i ❤️ the melody motif/reprise and themes that are carried through all songs but also each song is still super unique! I love the sliding guitar and psychodelic sounds! 4.9/5

Good background music
A pleasant album
I really enjoyed this album, it went harder than I thought it would - particularly enjoyed space invaders! Would give a 3.8
I enjoyed this album - particularly the electric guitar. I love their song White Room and I feel like they’re super consistent with their sound which is cool! I probably wouldn’t put this one in high rotation but would listen to give my self a break from the frequent flying albums I have on repeat! I’d say 3.5
Very all American rock, which is not a genre I’m that interested in - appreciated the saxophone in most of the songs and many of them aren’t bad but they are too generic sounding for me, and not weird/wacky/funky/rock-y for me.
There’s a lot of hype around the Smiths and this album in particular, and I’m mostly on board with some of the songs melodically, however, most of them sound identical when it comes to the “texture” of the song - including both the instruments used and Morrissey’s voice (the sound of which I can’t seem to get on board with in any case) - not a lot of contrast throughout individual songs or between each song, and with contrast comes anticipation, which I was lacking. But other than that, it’s a pleasant enough album.
I think I might like this equally to the Smiths album - as Julia said, he’s a little less throaty in this one, but only one or two stand outs - I think my fave from this one was Billy Budd
What goes on reminds me of the country calendar theme. I liked this album but not enough to save it - this is my new rating system so if I wouldn’t save more than 2 songs, it gets a 2 - which feels criminal for the Beatles 😅
This was actually one I couldn’t make it to the end of. Not my fave genre and unfortunately each song felt like Groundhog Day 🥲
Wasn’t a fan of this one. Bear in mind that I love the use of psychedelic abstract and weird sounds in music but with this album, the sounds were overpowering and in your face, with nothing special about the underlying melodies, and the vocals were once again quite monotone.
I liked this album! This is the first time I’m listening to most of these songs, but I can imagine these ones wouldn’t stay in high rotation for long, so not sure I’d be adding them to my playlist but I definitely appreciate this album for what it is!
I did enjoy this album not sure if it would be in high rotation but I love one to return to once every second month. The lead singers voice is familiar too?
Funky and the classic Prince sound. Probably not one I’d listen to often but I appreciate it for what it is!
Yeah I liked this one alot but would necessarily play it in high rotation - I think reggae is for a particular mood but 100% would play again and I second the hat Julia said about it being good music to clean to!!
This album broke my heart a little but healed my soul a little too. Frank Sinatra eats and leaves no crumbs on this one. Maybe not for everyday but I created a new playlist to accomodate this sort of sound for occasional listening for when the modern world gets me down 🥲
Break my heart and then sew it back up 😫😍 I love this album it was a pleasure to listen to it front to back once again! Thank you Thom Yorke and co - Morrissey take a leaf!
I really enjoyed this one, probably not for everyday but really appreciated the depth and variety of sound and vocals!!
