Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Dec 19 2024

solid album, love me some elton john. there were a few songs that didn’t really speak to me, but overall the album felt like a warm hug. perfect road trip music but i don’t know if i can see it going on my regular rotation otherwise

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Dec 20 2024

i don’t typically listen to jazz (ever), but i thoroughly enjoyed this. something about the sound of this album makes me feel like i’m in the room, listening to them perform. it feels like caramel to my ears if that makes sense. or like how a city looks on a rainy day. i didn’t think i’d love it as much as i do, but there wasn’t a second i didn’t enjoy. 5/5

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Dec 21 2024

i tried to like this album, but i just couldn’t. it’s not bad by any means, just primitive i guess. i can appreciate it for its influence but nothing about it really stood out to me. the lyrics were especially boring and even predictable. but i understand that rock and roll was just gaining it’s footing and that everything was sort of experimental. 2/5

Dec 22 2024

not the kind of music i usually listen to, but it was a solid album. time to pretend and kids were already on my regular rotation, and honestly, they were the only songs i enjoyed enough to keep listening to. the others were good too, just not my taste. i might’ve enjoyed electric feel if it weren’t for the electric feel incident….. these guys are talented though! 3/5 for me

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Dec 23 2024

i don’t typically listen to country music, but i liked this. i liked his take on most of the covers; especially georgia on my mind. i’m gonna take this as a sign to dive deeper into willie nelson’s discography. i’m surprised i hadn’t done so sooner! 3/5

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Dec 24 2024
Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Dec 25 2024

man, i thought i’d like this, but it didn’t do anything for me. the whole album felt like filler songs if that makes sense. i did like the popular one, “psycho killer”, though. this definitely made me want to check out some of their other stuff though. i have a feeling they have better albums

LP1 by FKA twigs
Dec 27 2024

i hated this. i tried to get through it but i physically could not. this is not the kind of music i like at all, and i don’t think it’s objectively bad, but i fucking hated it oh my god

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Dec 28 2024

fuck i love this album. it got me through my teenage years, especially “today”, “soma”, and “mayonaise”. it’s even better when you’re high. billy corgan doesn’t write songs, he writes straight up poetry. he’s a questionable dude but you can’t deny his writing

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Dec 30 2024

i really liked this! not all the songs stood out to me but there were a few good ones in there. i enjoyed long promised road, disney girls, student demonstration time, and feel flows in particular

With The Beatles by Beatles
Dec 31 2024

they look creepy as hell in this album cover, but i’m a huge beatles fan. it was nice to revisit

21 by Adele

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Jan 02 2025

i’ve been meaning to listen to this full album for a while now. before i listened, i already really enjoyed “hard headed woman” and “wild world”. great album

Suede by Suede

Green by R.E.M.
Jan 04 2025

i never really paid any attention to R.E.M but now i wish i had sooner. great album

Black Metal by Venom
Jan 06 2025

this felt like a metallica parody

Odelay by Beck
Jan 07 2025

one of the most experimental albums i’ve ever heard. i actually enjoyed it mostly

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Jan 08 2025

i’m not much of a techno person but this wasn’t bad

The Beach Boys Today! by The Beach Boys
Jan 09 2025

another beach boys record, i liked this one a little better than the last

Truth by Jeff Beck
Jan 12 2025

vocals and lyrics didn’t do much for me but the guitar is epic

Scott 4 by Scott Walker

L.A. Woman by The Doors
