1001 Albums Summary

I have already heard this one many times before, that will probably be 90% of the 1001 list anyway. Not my favourite Stones album, but it is a pleasant, engaging listen. It's an accessible record and has aged quite decently. 1968 was a massive year for popular music, especially in the English-speaking world. There were many excellent albums released. I have always felt conflicted when compiling a list for this year because there are multiple "album of the year" picks.

Previously listened to, but always enjoyable to revisit. Phil Spector was a master. Festive albums don't get any better than this. Filled with his staple of saccharine girl groupers, Darlene Love really shines in this one.

It's good but uneven.
