1001 Albums Summary

Shout- very very 80s in the same vein living on a prayer is very 80s. Not necessarily a bad thing tho- just oddly nostalgic. 7.5/10 ? The Working Hour- interesting- huge fan of the instruments and the mix. 8.2/10 Everybody wants to rule the world- I don't even need to listen to this. One of my favourite songs of all time. Very situational tho (it's hitting tonight). 10/10 Mothers Talk- very meh but gets better towards the end 5.5/10 I Believe- fucking love the piano 6/10 Broken- love the 80s ass guitar. 7.3/10 Head Over Heels- sick riff at the end + full bodied 9.4/10 Listen- I kinda fuck with this. 8.7/10

let me preface this by saying that i’ve never liked talking heads much. i just didnt like the some of the songs at all. much prefer their other albums

I did not expect this album to be that good (people online said it was overrated). Surprisingly Hotel California is NOT my favourite song on the album (that honour goes to Try and Love Again).

this album is so 80s. honestly a few bops but it gave me a headache after a while- the album felt too long. I'd give it a 6/10

There are a lot of memories tied to this album. My English teacher used to make me listen to songs from this album and my parents used to play this in the car. Bridge Over Under Troubled Water never fails to pull on my heartstrings. Without a doubt my favourite overall Simon & Garfunkel album (edging out Bookends). That being said, I think my dislike of Keeping The Customer Satisfied and other songs knock down the rating of the album by a little. 8.9
