Life Thru A Lens
Robbie WilliamsI will not listen to this monkey man
I will not listen to this monkey man
One of the finest albums ever made, one of my prized possessions, the wall is better though fight me on it
Not my kind of music typically but come on it’s the Temptations. They blend funk and soul and even gospel so well, and this album in particular has almost a grandiose quality to it, where it uses all these different instruments almost like an orchestra. I would say it’s mid loaded, didn’t love the first song or second to last song, but it has the 12 minute version of papa was a rolling stone so it’s a 4/5 minimum
I really really dislike punk music, however this album did start to win me over by the end of it. I listened to Repeater & 3 songs, just for posterities sake. I do kind of find the lead singers pronunciation grating, just cause he has that kind of punk pronunciation. Anyways as far as punk albums go I don’t mind this, and I’ve gotta respect Fugazi for being a super important influence for the indie scene. The bass lines are also incredible.
Unfortunately I have never liked Beck even though I am a guitarist and probably should be a big fan of him, and this album just kinda reinforced that. There would be these great beats and great bass lines, but he seems obsessed with squeals and high treble dissonance that just takes me clean out of the song. Also he sings like he’s bored and then I’m bored listening. I’m sorry.
Love oasis, banging album, top tier
Top 10 rap album ever probably. I’ve of course heard songs off of this album but listening to it all in one sitting made me feel like it’s actually a bit more intimate than I realized. Kind of a chronicle of Biggies life, at least is how I took it. 5 stars
Had never even heard of this band, had heard heads will roll just didn’t know it was them, now a big fan of this album, high impact high speed, this will be in the workout playlist
Tight beats, another workout playlist album
I fucking hate U2, however I can’t deny these first 3 songs on this album are awesome. My complaint is they all sound the same, and then the rest of the album is weak, and after this U2 always sounded the same. Boo
Masterpiece, top 5 grunge album of all time
I can’t do this punk shit I’m really genuinely sorry
Funkiest album ever, just bop after bop
Ok hungry like the wolf is like one of the best songs ever. But the rest of this joint is a little hard to listen to. I do not like the singing.
Pretty ethereal for a pop album, and quite jazzy, actually enjoyed this one more than I thought I would
I will not listen to this monkey man
Top tier rap album
Pretty interesting sound, like old timey Irish folk songs but more modern
Only one complaint, too short
Top 10 album ever
Hate the police hate sting sorry Stewart Copeland
Once again, beef with punk
Simply the best but I actually like Bad a little more
Probably not my favorite of his but still very good
Pretty solid album, and Public Enemy is hugely influential, they just aren’t my favorite sound of 90s rap
Pretty solid album, definitely influential, just not my favorite genre of rock
One of the finest albums ever made, one of my prized possessions, the wall is better though fight me on it
Banging opener track, everything else is weaker
Wings is the best thing the Beatles ever did
Awesome album, to go from NWA to this what a rapper Ice cube is
Definitely more punky, not as good as Californication in my opinion, but still a fantastic album and an inspiration for 90s sound
Not my favorite Neil, but he’s the man!
My second favorite Metallica album, yeah yeah it has no bass, still one of the best metal albums ever made
