Live! by Fela Kuti
Jan 28 2025

Certainly a unique and enjoyable album, I'm glad it's on the list. However, it loses a bit of touch as the super long songs get rather monotonous after a while. Still cool to get to know Fela's work a bit. A strong 3.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jan 29 2025

A pleasant listen. I was quite entertained and I actually saved this album for future listening, but that is mainly because of its nature. So easy to listen to and good for kind of background music, while actually being decent quality. It's limited though and the vibes get a bit too similar after a while. A strong 3.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Jan 30 2025

This one is a decent record. I enjoyed their smooth vibe and their great lines, very good work. It wasn't amazing though, especially if I compare it to other rap albums from this period. A weak 4.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jan 31 2025

Amazing idea to go into a prison for a live concert! Really impressed by this record. It's one of those, where the songs are already pretty good on their own, but it is the context and the vibes that just carry it through the roof. Many songs are a bit samey and Cash's performance was far from flawless, but taking the circumstances into consideration, this is certainly not that important. A weak 5.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Feb 03 2025

Wow! Just the right mixture of weirdness, uniqueness and most importantly: absolute quality. 'Remain In Light' sounds awesome with so many diverse and exciting elements. I didn't expect to like it this much, but this one bangs. A strong 5.

Metallica by Metallica

Well, I expected a bit more from this one. 'Enter Sandman' is amazing, such an iconic banger, but the rest of the album is a bit lacking. It's quite catchy, and not 'bad', but it just doesn't do enough for me.
