Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers

not really a bob fan, but there’s nothing offensive about this record sort of drags on after a while. very mid tempo i did enjoy the more ska focused tracks, though there weren’t many. 5/10

Who's Next by The Who

solid record opening is huge, closer is also huge. everything in between pretty consistently rocks hard. ballads aren’t too corny. not CRAZY about the pete led songs, but they’re still pretty decent. 7.5/10

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Feb 03 2025

first track: whimsical vibes cigarette smoke dark sunglasses cooking and meal and light dancing impressive solos, not too obnoxiousness songs are a little long, feel like they could be split up however, the lil codas are nice. very full circle second track: cozy vibes nice chill sax solo into piano , i appreciate that no one is overplaying really nice contrast from first track. eases you into the VIBE third track: it’s kinda sexy sorta giving hold music vibes a little repetitive in comparison to the other tracks, doesn’t feel like it’s really going anywhere cool spotlight for the drums though kind of wish the drum part was a little more expansive, but it was nice to break apart the track track four: i find myself getting a little bored by now, but it’s still a pleasant experience overall this is nice background music, maybe i’m over thinking it i like the how the rhythm section is breaking this track up it’s starting to win my attention back the piano is waking me up found myself humming by the end of it track five: very playful everything positive about the other tracks stays true to this one whole record is very cohesive so far feels like they’re playing in my kitchen while i do chores complimentary to the snowy day we are having this album is so cozy feels like a warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate track six: the piano is a little disorienting and jumpy, but the track is called everybody’s jumpin the jumpy parts break up the sections nicely the sax is very nice track seven this is the last song, but doesn’t have closer vibes (yet) kind of feels like maybe they’re getting ready to pack it in though still chill the slow natural fade out (?) is a nice way to finish this album feels like a credits rolling more than a big explosive ending this was a pleasant listening experience. very cohesive, players did a lot without doing too much. i would probably return to this. maybe while i’m cooking or something. 7/10

White Blood Cells by The White Stripes
Feb 05 2025

I appreciate how dedicated they are to being a two piece. most bands just add bass in the studio, but none to be found here (even if sometime it’s to their deferment) I like the songs that are a little more pumped up, but even the low-key ones feature some great songwriting. do miss that bass tho :( 7/10

Pink Moon by Nick Drake

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Feb 08 2025

thinking this might not be for me kind of sounds like i’m in a garage with a bunch of 50 year old dads smoking cigs played their instruments well though! 4.5/10

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Feb 09 2025

the mix of bangers and lax ass cuts on this thing is perfect snoop sounds cool as hell loses half a point for performing at the trump inauguration :( 8/10

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor
Feb 10 2025

this made me feel like i was on sesame street not crazy about the blues tracks, giving white guy plays the blues vibes. more folk centric stuff was nice, but song writing didn’t feel strong enough to blow me away, with a few exceptions. his voice is sorta bland. the blues and god shit really drags it down. 4.5/10

In Rainbows by Radiohead
