The Wall by Pink Floyd
Mar 17 2025

Longtime favorite. Shaped my music listening and writing for decades. Powerful enough that I appreciated the follow-up album The Final Cut, even considering it the sequel to The Wall.

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 26 2025

Phenomenal album. For me, the last of his truly interesting works.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Apr 01 2025

Great album. Legendary title track. More restrained than their previous albums but still distinctly theirs.

Green by R.E.M.
Apr 08 2025

Very good album but the beginning of the homogeneity of their sound. After this all their albums sound the same.

Apr 11 2025

Fascinating album. A great collaboration between 2 great musical minds. Otherworldly tribal rhythms with samples seamlessly interwoven into the tunes. Highly recommended.

Synchronicity by The Police
Apr 14 2025

A dark swan song for these pop pioneers. Excellent and moody, with ebon textures and lyrics at times both thoughtful and chilling. It used to play on repeat in my car. Highly recommended.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Apr 15 2025

A classic. Jimi at his most amazing. Soulful guitar works that resonate even today. Highly recommended.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Apr 25 2025

Masterpiece. Maybe Rush's best album. Truly iconic. "Tom Sawyer," "Red Barchetta," and "Camera Eye" are forever bangers.

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
May 02 2025

Startling debut by Jimi Hendrix. A masterpiece of guitar virtuosity only surpassed by Electric Ladyland. Undeniable classic.

Garbage by Garbage
Jun 03 2025

Absolute banger. What they mean when they say all killer no filler. Their most famous hits are on here but don't sleep on the other songs on this album. It's all greatness.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

A true heavy metal classic. R.I.P. Ozzy.

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Jul 25 2025

Deranged. Psychedelic. Infinitely creative. Perfectly imperfect. R.I.P. Syd.

Jul 29 2025

The keystone of progressive rock. Absolutely brilliant. My introduction to the genius of Robert Fripp. A luscious, propulsive masterpiece.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Jul 30 2025

Sucks.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Sep 29 2025

Absolute classic. Their second best album next to Thick As A Brick in my opinion. Excellent bangers anchored by the trifecta that are the title track, Cross-Eyed Mary, and Locomotive Breath. Actually, depending on my mood, I would say this is Jethro Tull's best album, but TAAB speaks more truth to me. Let's just call it a tie.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Oct 08 2025

Overrated. Is there greatness here? Yes, with Ted, Just Admit It, Mountain Song, & Jane Says, but the rest I just found to be a boring slog.

Oct 09 2025

The group's second best album. A stunning precursor of the greatness to come in the future. I know what I like indeed.

Tommy by The Who
Oct 20 2025

People love this album. I don't. It's got its moments of greatness, but it's not Quadrophenia.

Disintegration by The Cure
Oct 21 2025

Masterpiece. Highlight is the title track, but there are so many bangers here.

B-52's by The B-52's
Oct 22 2025

The start of something great.

In Utero by Nirvana
Nov 07 2025

Melancholy masterpiece. Kurt, we miss you. What could've been....

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Feb 04 2026

Punk rock excellence.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Feb 12 2026

Masterpiece. Self-indulgent in a good way, this album shows The Smashing Pumpkins at their artistic peak. Highly recommended.
