Aqualung
Jethro TullSome really good moments. Love the title track. Rock flute is unique, but also a bit meh.

Nearly perfect album. I don't know that they've ever topped this debut. Fav song has got to be "Black."
Greatest band of all time. Unbelievable debut album.
I absolutely hate the album artwork and the title track. Gross sentimentality. But . . . the rest of the album is not bad. Standouts for me are: Traveling Man, Early Morning Breeze, and Here I Am. All three of these songs sound more like Dylan’s Nashville Skyline, and less like Gatlinburg. Also, Dolly has a bit too much vibrato in her voice for my tastes.
Great album. Quintessential 90s. I would rank Californication about this album as my favorite RHCP album, but it's close. Also Under the Bridge is untouchable.
I was expecting jazz. The funk caught me off guard. But this album is a jam. Love it.
This is not typically my sort of thing. But this is definitely a vibe. And no one can deny Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). But honestly, the whole album is good, moody, unique. I'm between 4 and 5. Probably going to land on 4 because I'm not sure it's something I could go back to all the time.
Cool vibe. Listened through a couple times. Standouts for me: Bonny, Appetite, When Love Breaks Down.
At times, brilliant, but still not Beatles worthy. Interesting to listen to how Lennon every. The sound is sort of schizophrenic and can’t seem to maintain a direction.
I think I'm going 5 on this one. Probably actually more like 4.5 for me. But I'm a sucker for late 60's hippie music. Joplin is the embodiment of that age. Such a vibe.
Solid album. Big hits.
I’ve never really been a Prince guy. But I think I get it.
Ok. Really dig this the more I listen. LA Punk!
I don’t hate this music, but I also don’t see anything special about it. I struggle to understand why it’s in this list.
I thought this was going to be a 4, but I'm opting for a 3. The second half of the album is a bit to boring for me. That being said, I do like the band and the sound, just probably not for a whole album's worth of material.
Just really not my style. But they're talented for sure.
Love this album.
Dig it. Sitar music. The last song is directly religious and I disagree with what is said. But otherwise really enjoyable.
I really want to love ELP because my dad loved them, and there are parts that I enjoy, but overall it's just not really my jam.
Finding it hard to finish this one. I simply hate it.
Undeniably great album. At times it's too emotional for me—especially High and Dry and Fake Plastic Trees. At that same time, that emotionalism is sometimes exactly what I need. But the whole album is great and fairly diverse. The best Radiohead is still In Rainbows, but The Bends is considered great for a reason.
Enjoyed it.
I am familiar with The Who , but I’ve never listened to this album. It’s got hints of 1967 summer of love, and I love that, but it’s also very goofy. It’s sort of reminds me of what would happen if the Beastie Boys tried to be the Beatles.
It’s talent, but I’m just not into the Prog Rock sound.
