Cloud Nine
The TemptationsVery good LP. A bit of a transitional record, with the psychedelic leanings. Great vocals, as ever. Solid, with some superb songs, including the title track.

Eh, not my cup of tea. Good energy but very derivative of better stuff and I don't love the vocals.
One of the great albums I've ever heard. Legendary voice and delivery. A landmark in song construction and in social commentary
Could get lost in this. Hypnotic and powerful. More so, when you know the profound and tragic story about the Nigerian dictatorship and how they responded with cowardly violence. Kuti had great innovation as a musician and great bravery in life. Highly recommended.
Pretty solid. Took a few listens. The songs I was most familiar with are among the best.
Nice atmosphere created here. Certainly not for every occasion, but it's definitely an enjoyable vibe. The single "Sexy Boy" is still the best song, but it's a good record to have in one's collection.
Solid effort. Also has my favorite song by them "Trampled Underfoot". Great groove. Not their very best LP but not far off.
Ugh. Just do not get this band. Pale imitation of their influences. A vanilla version of The Clash and 70s punk.
