5 minutes for your opening song is wild lol mostly I dig it, I like the combination of heavier instrumentals and soft vocals. the killer in me is the killer in you!!
he really tells a story! i don't think i know what gothic means.
I didn't make it last the first song 😅 Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it. The spoken word stuff was cool at first but I got bored of it after a while. I do think it would be more fun live, they would probably just jam forever.
Adele's voice is definitely the main instrument for most of these songs, and Adele is a great singer. But her voice got repetitive for me after a few songs. I think there's a lot of emotion in her voice but it's kind of the same emotion? I also thought most of the lyrics were generic and boring. Favorite song was I Miss You, that had some good beats. I'd listen to that again. Worst song was Remedy. I've listened to her album 21 because it's one of my mom's favorites, and it's a lot better than this. More diverse lyrics and beats, and more impressive runs/notes hit vocally. I'm surprised that one isn't here.
Wow yes, I felt like I was back at The Brewery! They definitely inspired a lot of bands I listened to in high school/college. The vocals are great, I liked them better than many grindcore bands - maybe because they are quieter and blended with the rest. I would appreciate more variety in vocals though (they did bring some into the second half after "Life?"). Favorites: - Instinct of Survival has a lot of nice little two-steps - Scum - Siege of Death, you could almost understand the lyrics 😂 and I liked the guitar solo at the end - Born on Your Knees - Human Garbage, nice a lil breakdown and long two-step 😍 - You Suffer was HILARIOUS - M.A.D. offered a nice break from the blast beats I'm torn between a 4-5 because I wouldn't listen to this genre often but for what it is, their skills are tight and they are very influential.
Kinda weird, kinda feels like you're in outer space, or maybe a video game. I love all the twinkly crystalline sounds. It's a little drone-like and fun to dance to. I can definitely see their influence in modern music, it's like primitive synth-pop. Favorites: - The Model - the second half of Neon Lights - first half of Man Machine 5/5 someone needs to sample this
Classic, easy listening, a little boring for me. I like their harmonizing and soft guitar solos. Marrakesh Express feels a lil racist, opening with "whoopa, hey mesa, hooba huffa, hey meshy goosh goosh" lmao what is that? Fav was Wooden Ships
Different, I wouldn't have picked it out for myself, but I was vibin'! Nice background music
I listened to this album a lot when I was a kid. I liked Ray of Light, and it's still an okay dance jam. Candy Perfume Girl freaked me out back then too. It's a pretty boring album and the songs are too long. Most of her vocals feel strained and emotionless. The lyrics are kinda poetic but most of the time they don't say anything, it's just like a "philosophical" word salad. I definitely don't think anyone needs to hear this before they die 😂 was it influential? As far as I know, not really. Maybe it introduced a lot of white people to new age spiritualism and self care? 🤷♀️
Her voice is beautiful, she does cool things with it too. Joni has a lot to say lol these songs are jam-packed, it's like listening to someone read their journal. I liked it but I found it a little boring as the songs blended together. It's nice as background music though.
I thought it was fun to listen to, I liked the horns and how they jammed. I don't love that every song was like 10 minutes long. Favorite was "beginnings" because it's fun to do the oOoOoOhhh
Wow grandma's review makes me want to listen again and pay closer attention! Like gumblesnork, this sounded a lot more like Creed than I remembered. But I was tapping my feet and I like the vocal range that Kurt Cobain has throughout the album. I might like Nevermind more 😬
