1001 Albums Summary

A relaxed listen, I’ve heard of Nick Drake, but never took a deep dive until today. This album is whimsical, fantastical and so peaceful. Will listen again and give Nick Drake’s other works a listen to! 4/5

Not my favourite Beatles record, but appreciate and understand the impact this had on music of that era. You can tell the musical influences and writings of both John and Paul are apparent on this album. I prefer the albums Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, White Album and Revolver.

One of the best early Queen records

Not my cuppa tea, but can remember “One Day Like This”, being a huge chart topper when I was a kid!

This was a staple of my influence on music and was always on during BBQs, Long drives with my dad and my work playlist. This is an album though that is overplayed and Smells like Teen Spirit becomes boring after a while, but with tracks like “Stay Away”, “Breed” and “Territorial Pissing” this album has teeth that cement it as a staple Grunge record.
