pretty bold for the times though certainly influenced by the culture. understandably influential for so many genres and sounds still heard today, but still impressive it became such a core album both for the Beatles for as avant-garde as it is.

easy listening but lyrics worth paying attention to

UGH SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! there's such a great through line from this album to DAMN. which is also incredible. Kendrick has the skill of making his albums feel fresh at every chapter, yet his body of work exists as a continuous narrative

STAYED on REPEAT in my house. a classic. though kinda weird that this had a mainstream life of it's own.. this is just music I grew up with. I can't imagine a bunch of white people suddenly into boleros??
