1001 Albums Summary

listened to "disc 1" on Spotify. Mid AF. 6/10

Seeing that it was a metallica album I was expecting to like it more than the two I've heard so far, and I was right. This is the first one I felt so far of actually wanting to listen to the whole thing, which i did. I felt that the songs were more interesting than the ones of the other albums but on this album the songs are a little too long and drawn out for me to want to add them to my playlist. I'm being serious when I say that it is very pleasant. 7/10

I wouldn't call it mid. It was fine. Reminded me of minecraft music, or some other kind of video game music. Not the kind of minceraft music that I would be interested enough in putting on a playlist. This music feels very passive. boring. 6/10

I don't know if I can do a second day of Radiohead in a row. Ok so I made it to the next day without listening to it because I really didn't want to. I decided to just give it a little listen because the point is that i listen to it all, and I found it considerably better than the Kid A. This one has a lot more going on, and I somewhat enjoyed knives out. I still generally didn't enjoy whatever artistic intention he had with the dissonance/avant-garde style and god did I get annoyed with hearing his voice. 7/10

finally, something I can actually enjoy a little. This is still the kind of jazz that I feel is too avant-garde and don't entirely understand, so this wasn't the most interesting for me. Still very pleasant. Billy, from me you are getting 7/10

I was honestly excited, because this is the kind of thing that I really know nothing about but am looking forward to listening to. That was until I saw the length. It's my birthday bro. I'm just gonna start out by listening to the most popular songs. This is just phenomenal. I was not familiar with Fitzgerald before this (all I knew is that she is just some singer from the early 1900s). I really cannot disassociate it with Christmas music though. Such an amazing voice and band. The album itself though is just long and the songs sound very similar. I listened to like 8 and they were all very similar and got a little stale. 8/10

Did not like. Mid production with mid to bad songs. If you told me this was from some random forgotten band from the 2000s I would believe you. Sorry Ms. Jackson. 5/10

Generic ass 80s album. Generic in every way. No idea what else to say. 6.5/10
