Really good! Super funky, enjoyed the focus of different instruments in different songs. Loved the softer songs mixed in too

Reminded me of OG arctic monkeys which I adore so I enjoyed this a lot. I never listened to any of Franz Ferdinand’s albums!

Loses a star for some questionable lyrics at times, particularly pencil skirt. Found some of the themes quite repetitive eg sexual escapades. Very fun musically and vocally, loved how the songs would build slowly then go hard. Really enjoyed most songs.

Enjoyed the vocal layering, and experimental sound. Questionable lyrics a lot of the time- a lot sound like stories eg. Pyramids rather than personal experience or viewpoints but who knows, got a bit bored of all the sexual themes and misogyny. Overall interesting sounds, sometimes found the vocals a bit droning, sometimes loved them, same goes for the whole album. I think I’d prefer a song at a time listen from Frank Ocean rather than a whole album.

Loved Vincent, it was so beautiful. American pie is a certified banger of course. Rest of the album was fine. Might like it more with a couple more listens.

Really enjoyed the sound but the vocals/only talking ruined it a bit. I would have loved it if there was more variety with the vocals eg some singing too.

Allison seems to be a popular girls name to sing about. Strange and a bit melancholy at times which I enjoyed, felt nostalgic despite not knowing them. They reminded me a bit of smashing pumpkins. I like the mix of gentle and rough vocals.

Funky, the jazz mixed with African music is really interesting. The last song with all of the drumming I found a bit full on and long but the rest I enjoyed listening to.
First song started out like someone experimenting with a synth for the first time, however after this I really loved this album. On a second listen I’d perhaps enjoy the first song more. I felt transported to a sci fi adventure and floating through space.
