The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas
Jun 24 2025

Death in Vegas' 1999 record is chock full of incredibly engrossing psychedelic jams with a surprisingly mechanical twist and deeply frigid core. The psychedelia feels constantly engaging and does not ever feeling overextended within its repetitious hypnotism, leading to an album that feels simultaneously singular and underdeveloped in idea yet sprawling in execution. Wonderful. (sorry for this blurb being a touch subpar, I'll try to do better another day. not in my bag ATM) 8/10

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jun 25 2025

Amazing album with soaring vocals and a closer that was woefully recontextualized due to his passing. Rest in eternal peace. 8

Jun 26 2025

Didn't expect any less from Tribe. Some of the absolute GOATs of Hip Hop, with the production here being particularly smooth (as is expected). I find it so fascinating how the group are able to create such slightly different albums within the same sonic backdrop each time. Super cool. Love them so much. 8/10

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Jun 27 2025

It's fun! The first half is easily better than the second, containing all the true hits and memorable cuts of the record, but the second half is not nearly as weak as I expected. I think, though, that the album would have been better if the hits were interspersed throughout the tracklist rather than held all at the beginning. Would feel like a far more balanced tracklist and would, in turn, give the deep cuts more room to breathe and become fan favorites. 7+/10

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Jul 03 2025

it took until Cruisin for me to really get it fully, but it is so pretty. love his voice.

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jul 04 2025

It's so boring, man.

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Jul 06 2025

Super cool Phil Spector influenced production on this and she is an absolute queen of a vocalist. Steals the show even with how underdeveloped and at times uninteresting the album can be, and makes me interested in her career trajectory past this point (since this seems to be considered one of her lesser works). 7/10 (leaning down)

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Jul 07 2025

I mean come on... it's Remain in Light 8/10

Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Jul 09 2025

It's good! That's all I can say! It's good enough! Feels a bit like a hallmark movie in music form, but that's ok. She's got a good voice. 6/10

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Jul 10 2025

Flawless melancholia. Genuinely cannot believe a man this brilliant ever existed.

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Jul 11 2025

The Coral by The Coral
Jul 17 2025

That second song is insaaaane. Love the energy on here and how absolutely teeming with psychedelia all these indie rock bangers are. Dreaming of You 🀍 7+

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Jul 19 2025
Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Jul 23 2025
