Really solid listen for someone who's only heard a few songs from Black Sabbath before. Length of some of the tracks are long on spotify but really feel like different ones.
The guitar is downright glorious, its hypnotic and incredibly impressive.
An album I've only heard in pieces here and there. But as a complete listen start to finish its amazing. An incredibly vulnerable album with incredibly instrumentation, namely the electronic synths and drums.
Favourite songs: 15 Step, Reckoner, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Videotape
Least Favourite: Faust Arp, Bodysnatchers.
This album EXPLODES right off the bat, My name is instantly catches your ear and sets high expectations. Guilty Conscience still blows me away to this day with how unique it is. Brain Damage gets a bit more vulnerable with that edgy twist Eminem has.
Sadly it gets pretty boring after the first skit, the quality of the lyrics seem to fall off. More due to age than anything. Role Model and the last 3 tracks pick up the slack though.
Overall was a pretty fun project but feels a bit repetitive with poorly aged lyrics. The production is a big highlight for me, such fun and unique arrangements.
Favourite Tracks: My Name Is, Guilty Conscience, Role Model
Least Favourite: Cum on Everybody, If I Had.
Incredible album front to back. Another instance where I knew a bunch of singles but never heard it front to back and I'm disappointed I waited this long to do that.
A timeless sound from the early indie era, the guitars are loud, the synths are groovy and the drums slick and heavy. Don't even get me started on Karen O's lyrics and vocal performance, mesmerizing, unique with incredibly versatility.
If you like any indie, alternative or any kind of dancefloor bangers. Do yourself a favour and listen to this record.
Favourite Tracks: Zero, Heads Will Roll, Skeletons, Dull Life, Dragon Queen, Runaway
Least Favourite Tracks: Shame and Fortune, Hysteric
A very pleasant album to listen to. Wasn't expecting entirely instrumental but I enjoyed it a fair bit in the background. While its not my cup of tea right now, I can definitely see myself revisiting and potentially liking more of this album. This record has extremely catchy sounds littered across both tracks that will have something for someone.
Favourite Tracks: In A Silent Way
Least Favourite: Shhh/Peaceful
I had high hopes going into this record, but I left just a bit disappointed.
Album started off great with Blowin' in the Wind, a beautiful song lyric and composition wise, but every song after just left me wanting more of the first track. I just didn't connect with it as much as I had hoped to.
Favourite Tracks: Blowin' in the Wind, Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.
Least Favourite Tracks: Everything Else.
While a fun record, just a genre I do not enjoy. However the overall vibe was a blast, amazing upbeat strings and lyrics were fun. Just can't see myself listening to it on purpose again.
Favourite Tracks: Just a Gigalo/I Ain't got Nobody
Least Favourite: Be Mine, Buona Sera
Pretty fun record to listen to. The guitars are so weird, loud and exciting. I was on my toes every track waiting for the next weird riff they played for a song. Lyrics definitely get drowned out a bit in the mix but it could be worse.
Very noisey record from a noise rock band, a downside to me was the drums felt a bit samey. I wish there was some cool weird things they did with the drums too.
Favourite Tracks: Teen Age Riot, Silver Rocket, 'Cross the Breeze, Eric's Trip
Least favourite: The Sprawl, Total Trash, Eliminator Jr.
Just not an album I can vibe too, I appreciate a lot of the instrumentation and production. But this is just not my type of music, took a lot not to just skip through.
Favourite Tracks: None
Least Favourite: All of them
Good ol' Dad rock, can't say anything better. Nothing profound or superbly amazing outside of Freebird. But I enjoyed it.
Favourite Tracks: Simple Man, Free Bird
Least Favourite: Mississippi Kid
Very much just a vibes listen, would put this in the background when I'm looking for a lowkey vibe and want some calming music. Not much to say else about it other than I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought.
Favourite Tracks: Splanky, Lil' Darlin', The Kid from Red Bank
Least Favoruite: Fantail
Incredible album start to finish, crunchy guitars, thom yorkes haunting vocals. Honestly such a highlight of the bands discography but overshadowed by OK Computer.
Theres a lot of songs I come back to frequently. A lot stand up on their own and still feel fresh despite being 30 years old.
Favourite Tracks: Bullet Proof ... I Wish I was, My Iron Lung, Just, Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Black Star, (Nice Dream), The Bends
Least Favourite: Bones, Sweet Spirit (Fade Out)
