Popular Reviews

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis

I'm convinced that the people who claim they like this album really don't and are just trying to be counter-culture. Listening to this is like staring at a piece of art in a studio and convincing yourself the banana taped to the wall is brilliant. This is very hard to listen to and even harder to enjoy.

Lost Souls by Doves
Jun 30 2025

Definitely not my style of music.

Jul 01 2025

Nirvana isn't my favorite Grunge band by a long shot, but this album in its entirety is very enjoyable.

American Idiot by Green Day
Jul 02 2025

Ugh probably my least favorite post-grunge band.

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Jul 03 2025

Now we're talking. Maybe one of the most influential albums in my lifetime. Completely.reshaped my musical taste. I need a 6th star for this album

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Jul 04 2025

Solid and raw. I liked it.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Jul 05 2025

I don't think I've listened to a Talking Heads album in its entirety. Very enjoyable and ahead of their time.

Odelay by Beck
Jul 07 2025

I've always enjoyed Beck, though his lyrics seem like he is trying too hard to be irreverent. But I always like the tempo of his albums and how he always brings something unique to his songs.

2112 by Rush
Jul 08 2025

One of the greatest albums ever made. From deep and thoughtful lyrics to amazing riffs and tempo changes, 2112 has it all. One of the most influential albums of my lifetime, and prog rock at its absolute best. 2112 is a must-listen, and I'm glad I was able to dive in again. 6 stars!

Jul 09 2025

Well, this just sucked. It's like my 5 year-old nephew got a hold of my Casio and a mic and pumped out some random sounds. Then a studio turned it into an album and people pretend to like it because it makes them feel cool and different. News flash: it's terrible.

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
Jul 10 2025

This was a cool listen. I knew the tune from The Exorcist but I had no idea it was an album first. Research led me to some interesting info. Very different and enjoyable.

Pictures At An Exhibition by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jul 11 2025

Interesting album. I like some ELP but this isn't exactly up my alley. But I can definitely enjoy the talent and skill involved in making this album.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Jul 12 2025

I don't hear or know much about blues, but after hearing this album I should. This was a great listen. Ebjoyed it.

Damaged by Black Flag
Jul 13 2025

Well this definitely had some great energy. Not exactly my style but I enjoyed the edginess.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Jul 14 2025

Never heard of this artist, but I didn't hate it. Solid album.

Street Signs by Ozomatli
Jul 20 2025

This is why I like new (to me) music. This album here. Upbeat, relevant, and meaningful. I really dug this. Never heard of them or the songs, but I will definitely listen again.

Songs From A Room by Leonard Cohen
Jul 21 2025

Hmmm, I generally like this type of music. But I can't get past the fact that Leonard Cohen can't sing. This sounds like what it might sound like if I sang these songs. The songwriting is interesting, but I can't take the lack of voice. Pretty unenjoyable overall.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings
Jul 22 2025

This is a great listen. I really love the former Beatles member's work post-Beatles more than their group stuff. Which is saying a lot considering how groundbreaking the Beatles were. But Paul and Crew are so creative and tight on this album, and I love the lyrical work as well. Just a top notch album.

The Visitors by ABBA
Jul 23 2025

Solid album. Not as fun and bubbly as their previous stiff. Maybe a more mature version of themselves.
