Shake Your Money Maker
The Black CrowesI don’t really listen to much blues, so don’t have any good insight, but sounded quite similar to Lynard Skynard to me. Bit one paced overall, and no songs really stood out to me on first listen but solid.

Never heard of this guy before, kinda like a reggae / Latin fusion. Was okay as background music, if you were on a beach with a cold one and some palm trees, would have been a nice vibe.
Very much not a folk person so couldn’t really appreciate this that much. Very melodic and tight overall, but just not really my bag.
Can only go to a 4/5 rating though because of the abomination that’s is ‘The Girl Is Mine’ with McCartney. Legitimately insane that it was the lead single. But everything else here is good to great, even if it’s not that cohesive. I probably always preferred Bad as an album overall. But here even the two deeper cuts that didn’t get released as singles (Baby Be Mine, and The Lady In My Life) are two of my favourites off the album.
Only really knew a couple of Dolly Parton’s biggest songs going in (and none of them on here) but this was really decent. Lean and super melodic, deceptively simple, this was a real easy listen even though I don’t normally listen to any country.
This was quality. Just really instant when listening to it, production was great. Fantastic songwriting.
Atmospheric & emotive throughout.
