Back In Black by AC/DC
Jul 14 2025

Soundtrack to the youthful, hormone laden Friday night. Chauvinist and a relic of its time, sure. But this album sonically rocks. The lyrics are not for deep contemplation, it’s for just giviner on a fun filled weekend out in the bush.

My Generation by The Who
Jul 15 2025

Sounds like four English lads having a toss-about with black american blues & r&b. Influential for those who missed out on the original source code but I maintain, the WHO had some great tunes but are overrated.

21 by Adele
Jul 16 2025

Not my bag, but cannot deny her immense talent and genuine soulful music. Wow.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Jul 17 2025

LedZep at their height trying to prove they lived up to the hype. Had they just picked the best 12 songs, this would be an epic 5-star classic. Bonham pounds the skins so hard. How many did he break during recording?! It’s not hard to distinguish all four musicians so independently. They took their craft so seriously and tried hard to be artistes. The overindulgence on the lesser songs lowers this to a 4/5 for me.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jul 19 2025

Every song is a banger. A glorious heavy metal album with iconic Hallowed be thy name and Number of the beast. Run for the Hills is in the Mr Rushmore of GREATEST ROCK SONGS EVER. Up the Irons!

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jul 21 2025

Bunny is among the most underrated drummers in rock

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jul 24 2025

Glorious rock and roll in that pouty, ladish style and wanker attitude. Love it

The Visitors by ABBA
Aug 23 2025

Got the feeling ABBA were mailing this one in. Formulaic simple Muzak melodies. Lacked of the magic of other albums.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Aug 27 2025

Dark and brooding. Classic and scared me as a kid. Wicked.

Ten by Pearl Jam
