Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Jul 28 2025

- Cadence is very similar in every song. - Instrumentals are very much feel-good.

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Jul 29 2025

- idk what i was expecting for a band called “the band,” but the start caught me a bit off guard. - it’s giving bob dylan and eric clapton’s lovechild - now it’s giving the who a little bit - i looooveee caledonia mission - this album feels perfect for road trippin - ok chest feverrrr i see youuu - ok so apparently this album inspired Eric Clapton and then he left cream lol - this wheel’s on fire gives cream for sureee - ok so apparently the band backed bob dylan on tour lol - i think this album has really good first and last songs. they fit their role perfectly. - loved this album. can def see how other artists were inspired by the band.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jul 30 2025

- love the jazz-y instrumentals - very consistent sound - loooveee the transitions between songs - i love the concept and the execution was amazing, but i don’t think im the intended audience, so it feels like something’s missing for me to feel like it’s a 5-star album.

- another good road trippin album - “Victoria” is a good opening song 🙂‍↕️ - I liked the vibe change of “yes sir, no sir” - very monotone, nothing stood out or was too special - i like it but it’s “meh.” it feels like im trying too hard to find something memorable about it (other than Victoria and australia, i loved those two songs)

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Aug 01 2025

- i thought the lyrics were beautiful - i really like her voice, but i think some parts are a little too high-pitched for my hearing (i have been cursed with sensitive ears 😓) - i love that i can feel what she’s going through. it feels like she’s in the room with me, telling me a story

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Aug 02 2025

- i like the consistency of the melodies without sounding monotonous. - living for the saxophone - ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK ACK - “everybody has a dream” is a great closing song - the whistling emphasizes the “everyday man” feeling of the album for me, and i like the subtlety of that. - 10/10 tbh
