Album starts well (first 3 songs), then dips until the halfway mark. The rest is solid and very catchy.

Favorites (listened to Disc A only):
Tonight, Tonight
Here Is No Why - Sounds a lot like Greta Van Fleet
Bullet With Butterfly Wings
To Forgive
Cupid De Locke
Galapogos
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans
Very contrasting tracks. Mostly not my style, but some Kishi Bashi-ness in some slower tracks.
Favorites:
Every Breath You Take
Wrapped Around Your Finger
Murder By Numbers
Every Breath You Take stands out, but the rest of the album seems like mostly unrefined tracks. Coherence picks up at the end of the album though.
Favorites (nearly the whole album):
Is This It
The Modern Age
Barely Legal
Someday (++)
Alone, Together
Last Nite
Hard To Explain
New York City Cops
Trying Your Luck
Iconic album - from the album art story to the crisp 'new rock' sound. 'Someday' is a big favorite. You can hear how modern indie rock has been influenced from this album (speaking on the mic like in the intro to New York City Cops, strong electric guitar hooks throughout with thin drums). Stellar for a debut album!
Favorites:
Idiots Rule
Jane Says
Thank You Boys
The first half is really not for me. It seems like when they're done screaming out, the second half of the album is there for you with some more thoughtful tracks.
Favorites:
Start
I Don't Remember (about not cooperating)
Family Snapshot (about an assassination)
And Through The Wire
Games Without Frontiers
The writing style and lyrics are illustrative and paint a creepy character acting throughout the album. The tone, in contrast, is very disco/beat-strong and the guitars are heady. Most songs have lines that are very repetitive, but funnily enough they're pretty catchy because of that.
Favorites:
Right in Time
Car Wheels On A Gravel Road
Drunken Angel
Concrete and Barbed Wire
Lake Charles
Can't Let Go (very bluesy and catchy!)
Metal Firecracker

Still I Long For Your Kiss
Joy (mostly because of the instrumental parts)
Jackson
Mellow. Easy listening. Thoughtful lyrics about Williams’ lovers and Southern cities. Wonderfully unabashed Americana blues.
Favorites (almost the whole album):
Thinkin Bout You
Sierra Leone (beat and layering)
Sweet Life
Not Just Money (just noisy sampling)
Crack Rock
Pyramids

Bad Religion
Pink Matter
Forrest Gump
End
Intriguing recording gimmicks/techniques - the album playthrough feels a lot like listening to the radio or watching TV. Calling the album R&B seems reductive too. Lots of color imagery (Pink Matter, Forrest Gump) which makes themes through the album interesting.
Favorites:
Zombie (very catchy and high-energy)
Mr. Follow Follow (laid back)
Mistake (live)
Long tracks - feels like your listening to a live album or at an improv jazz performance. It kinda makes sense for this style and it's appreciated. "Zombie" heavily outperforms the rest of the album though.
Favorites:
Jennifer
Giggy Smile
It's A Bit Of A Pain (except for the noise)
The intro track, "Krautrock", is a lengthy epic soundscape - almost needlessly so. "Jennifer" lies to the listener, drastically changing tempo and feel twice. "Giggy Smile" does the same but in a more entertaining way. The album sounds like drivel mostly, though.

Favorites:

Rock and roll. R&B. Vocal chops and guitar riffs. Incredible all 'round. Very listenable album if you wanted to put it on repeat.
Favorites (nearly the whole album):
Come Together

Maxwell's Silver Hammer (only because there are creepy lyrics in very jolly tones)
Octopus's Garden

You Never Give Me Your Money
Sun King (cicada's sounds!)
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
Golden Slumbers
Carry That Weight
The End
Her Majesty
The album of zany characters and natural loves. It feels like the quintessential Beatles (before the split). Definitely iconic.
Favorites:
Entire album
There's a steady sultry voice throughout, and the many interludes bring the record together as Aguilera's public transformation into a new singer. There's little variation across tracks, taking either the club R&B sound, or the emotional, slow R&B route. Very listenable though, and Aguilera's vocal gymnastics will have you happily singing along.
Favorites (nearly the whole album):
The Wall Street Shuffle
The Worst Band In The World
Hotel
Old Wild Men
Clockwork Creep
Somewhere in Hollywood
Baron Samedi
The Sacro-Iliac
Oh Effendi
Unique song ideas - there's an element of comedy and light-heartedness in the album. Each track is sensible and easy to understand too. Catchy 70s rock for the most part!
Favorites:

Favorites:

Hounds Of Love
Cloudbusting

Waking The Witch (first minute)
Watching You Without Me

Ethereal and epic. However, some tracks also difficult to listen and jarring. Celtic/fantasy influences are clear. A Deal With God lies a step above the rest.

Dark and somber. This album feels like being in a trance, then a fugue state, and then - if you're lucky - spurred into action. If not, you will sink deeper and deeper down into yourself.
