Let's Stay Together
Al GreenFun and groovy. I could see why this would be a popular album in 1972. Very good for being that old.

This sounds like "safe" rock music. It's comforting in some way. His strength appears to be his vocal delivery, rather than his creativity or lyricism. Kinda a snoozer.
A reminder of why white people should not rap. The production is cool at random points throughout the album. The voices and the whiny yelling have become very annoying. I think the flow has remained the same meter for the entire album. Rap/rock combo is a cool concept, but not executed to my preference here.
I thoroughly enjoyed this album. I understand why it is so popular now. Is it a reach to say that this inspired the sound of MBDTF? Solid 9.
