1. Monk Time - a little repetitive, wasn't completely for me but I liked the guitar in the back at least.
2. Boys are Boys - I can't help but feel like it's taken something from rocksteady and more poorly executed it. The backing music is good but the singing and lyrics are a little obnoxious to be honest.
3. Higgle-dy Piggle-dy - This song is better! I like the guitar solo, although repetitive, I think we can just assume that this type of music isn't for me. But I did really like the guitar solo a lot!
4. I Hate You - This song was actually a lot more fun, I did enjoy it a bit more for certain! It's got a fun rhythm! (⌒0⌒)/~~
5. Oh, How To Do Now - Alright, good, okay 👍
6. We Do Wie Du - also just okay. I feel like I'd just rather listen to Desmond Dekker or The Ethiopians if I wanted to listen to this type of music though. It feels like a poor imitation and has been a hang up for me the whole time I've been listening to this album to be honest.
7. Love Came Tumblin' Down - also just okay.
8. Pretty Suzanne - also just okay.
Overall, none of these songs will be added to any of my playlists and this was overall a meh album. It felt like a poor imitation of rocksteady and wasn't that enjoyable to me. All songs were just okay, and although some songs had some fun parts in them, it still is nothing to really write home about. I'd give this album a 2/5. It just wasn't for me if I'm going to be honest.
1. P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up) - I love funk music, this is a great beginning song to the album, it feels like it's properly introducing you to the album and setting the vibe for the whole album. Love it!
2. Mothership Connection (Star Child) - love this, good classic funk song, absolutely grooving along, added it to one of my playlists because it's so fun!
3. Unfunky UFO - ABSOLUTELY BANGER. love love love this, got me dancing along so fast! Added to my playlist!
4. (cba to type the full title bc it's so long) - less my style, but a good come down from the previous song which was so upbeat and hype! It's still groovy but less hyper.
5. Handcuffs - the lyrics are a bit weird tbh and kinda made me go '????' but it did get me dancing all the same, I was like dancing in a state of slight uncomfortable confusion.
6. Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) - I did already have this song added to one of my playlists. Love it so much. Just a really good classic funk song, always gets me moving!
7. Night Of The Thumpasorus Peoples - a perfect song to end the album, works as a perfect outro song.
Overall a very solid album, far more my taste, I really enjoyed it! :D
3/5, overall a good grunge album but I hate the 4th song so much. The lyrics make so uncomfortable and that took me out of it to be honest. Love the final song though, All Apologies will forever be a classic!
3/5, solid album, enjoyed it though no songs particularly stuck out to me! But still a very nice listen! :)
5/5 BANGER AFTER BANGER AFTER BANGER. MAX IN STRANGER THINGS WAS RIGHT TO HAVE THIS AS A COMFORT ALBUM. IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND CREEPY. LOVE IT!!!
5/5 - this was a fun album! Everything flowed so well and I really like that it had a storyline throughout every song, it led to a greater connection to every song and really got me invested in it! I just really liked this album! Really good!!!
3/5, a pretty good album but I do think the number of songs eventually tired me out and I started to struggle not to find it repetitive by the end. But each song individually is amazing, just collectively due to the album length the songs eventually became just a bit overwhelming. But still, a good album.
3/5 - this album is a classic album to represent the early 1990s. I can 100% picture multiple songs in it being used in the background of a chick-flick or slice of life movie. I did enjoy though no particularly songs stood out to me as remarkable. Nevertheless, it made for a nice listen.
1. From Out of Nowhere - I enjoyed this song, I don't know why but the vocals really reminded me of Patrick Stump and that made it really fun for me. It's also just a very pretty sounding song!
2. Epic - THIS SONG IS SO FUN!!! I LOVE IT!
3. Falling to Pieces - also just a really fun song. I'm addicted to the vocals.
4. Surprise! You're Dead! - ANOTHER BANGER. it really reminds me of emo music, I am severely enjoying this.
5. Zombie Eaters - I liked the quiet beginning and loud ending. I appreciate songs like that.
6. The Real Thing - just another good song to be honest with you. Just really liked it.
7. Underwater Love - just another fun song. Love the bass line in it!!!
8. The Morning After - another banger, absolutely loved the guitar part near the middle.
9. Woodpecker From Mars - obsessed with the introduction of this song, and when the guitar came in *chef's kiss*.
10. War Pigs - a classic!!!!! banger banger banger.
11. Edge of the World - another great song.
4/5 - Overall just loved this album. It's so good!!! Will definitely be adding a few songs from it to my playlists!
5/5 - a no skip album. Just banger after banger. Absolutely loved it!!!
2/5 - it's not to say it's a bad album. But looking at the album cover I was expecting to get punk music. Instead I got dad/glam rock. Which is great music to some people, but it's genuinely my least favourite type of music I hate it so much. So, just because of personal taste this album was a struggle to get through to be honest.
5/5 - solid! just a really good album! I really enjoyed it!!!
3/5 - it was just alright, didn't leave a significant impact on me. It was just okay. Really liked the messaging behind the album though. I think it's awkward because rap has evolved so much since 1988 that old school hip hop despite being so important for the legacy can feel really underwhelming when comparing it to modern day hip hop. I think I have modern day bias issues! Sorry. Okay album 👏!
2/5 - I'm sorry but I just cannot tolerate glam rock :/
1/5 - I could not get into this album at all, I really didn't enjoy it. Spent most of the time listening to it just wishing it'd end. Not a good album in my opinion.
4/5 - SOLID ALBUM!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!!! I LOVED IT!!!
3/5 - fairly good album! I liked a few of the songs though nothing fully stood out to me. Nevertheless, still a pretty solid album 🙂↕️
2/5 - I just couldn't get into it :(
3/5 - again it was an alright, album, I added a few songs to my playlists, but nothing fully stood out to me or made me view as a life changing album! It was just alright, it was okay.
5/5 - THIS ALBUM IS JUST BANGER AFTER BANGER!!! quite a few songs were already in playlists but reminded me just HOW good this album is!!! I love love love it!!! Such a good album!!!AAAAHHHH!!!! I would give it more than 5/5 if I could. Just such a flipping good album! Everyone should listen to it.
4/5 - pretty solid album! I enjoyed it quite a bit!!! added quite a few of the songs to my playlists! :]
3/5 - fairly solid album, that's about all I can say!
3/5 - pretty solid album!
1/5 - bleh it's a skill to make something musically interesting sound so boring so props to that. Absolutely not for me though tbh. Gave me anxiety actually, kinda sounds like what a panic attack feels like...
5/5 - i really loved it!!! Amazing album! Wanna purchase it!!!!!
4/5 - Take Five is always such a classic jazz song, I do love it a lot. I don't usually go out of my way to actively consume jazz, rather I more passively enjoy it. Nevertheless, this was a solid album and I will be adding songs from it to my studying playlist!
1/5 - it just wasn't for me ngl...
2/5 - it's not a bad album but I was dealing with stomach pains from eating too much tikka masala when I listened to it and this music just made my stomach feel even more upset. Not good to listen to if you're trying not to throw up. Makes you feel anxious and like you gotta head bang and throw up at the same time. Terrible for me as that's what I'm trying to avoid doing right now.
4/5 - forever an amazing album!!!
