A solid album, but it didn’t really bring anything new to the table.
The album is good, but the songs feel a bit repetitive and sometimes even noisy in a way that doesn’t work for me. It’s not the kind of album I can start my day with or put on when I just want to listen to music.
Damn, what a great album from start to finish. I really enjoyed it, especially because It starts off strong and then eases into a more relaxed vibe toward the end, which I actually love. Not every song has to push to the absolute peak sometimes slowing things down creates a higher impact in the long run. Top Tracks: “Money For Nothing”, “Walk of Life”, “Brothers in Arms”.
I really enjoyed this album. The stories in the songs are very funny. I would love to watch a live show on YouTube and see Johnny Cash’s reaction to the crowd, and how he talks with them.
The album really reminds me of the era when it came out, and it’s got a whole vibe. Not such a special album, but I’d go back and listen to some of the songs again. Top tracks: Silver, The Killing Moon, Ocean Man
It was hard for me to start this album. It’s a bit too loud for my taste. If I heard it by chance on the radio, I wouldn’t skip it it’s cool, it’s nice, but not something I’d listen to on a regular day.
Damm such a deep voice that surprised me, with such deep very deep meaning songs, very specific vibe and feel in this album Top songs that I like: you want it darker, traveling Light, Treaty
It was a nice album, nothing more. It feels like the singer intentionally hits notes that don’t feel like they belong after certain notes (not that I’m some musical genius). It was jazzy, but not exactly, though still nice. Maybe I just need a few more listens to the album. Top track I liked: Coyote.
The album starts off strong, but as I kept listening it gradually lost me. I really like the overall concept, but some of the tracks just weren’t for me. Maybe with another listen on a different day my impression will change, but for now the opening stayed the highlight. Top tracks: theme, fodderstompf
The Smiths. Everyone knows them. I generally like them, but this album, while good, didn’t grab me the way some of their other songs do. I enjoyed putting it on while working in the office.
