1001 Albums Summary

Fun groove, solid listen. Enjoyed it and will listen again but wouldn’t rank in my top albums. Best songs are Bad Moon Rising and Lodi.

Hard to get through for me. Not bad, just not my taste. Starting off with 6 minutes of scatting is rough.

It was alright. Good album, probably won’t listen to most of the songs again. Kind of dense. Favorite songs were Beetlebum and Strange News from Another Star.

A no-skip! Will listen to this again easily. Such a cohesive album and feels so unique to the band. Love how dynamic the individual songs are. Also sick album art. Favorite songs are The Scientist and Amsterdam, but honorable mentions to Clocks and Green Eyes.

A good album and feels authentic to his style. Personally, I like Freewheelin’ better and feel like it tells a bigger story. BOTT also doesn’t feel very dynamic — most songs are about the same length and have a similar sound. Still a solid album, but not one I come back to a lot. Favorite songs are Shelter From the Storm and You’re a Big Girl Now.

A fun and interesting listen, but probably won’t be on repeat. Favorite songs were Running Up That Hill (obvious choice) and Cloudbusting.
