Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Oct 02 2025

5 or 6 road trip worthy tunes - when the coffee well has run dry. The Hives energy meets Kiss glam guitar as advertised.

All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
Oct 03 2025

Dear Slipknot, please don’t burn our cities down. Burn down your own cities. I’m starting to remember why I hit the off-ramp at mile marker Classic Vinyl back in the 2010’s. Could have managed a 2 but the Linkin Park emo angst bits give me no choice

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Oct 04 2025

Lots of variety on this album. Strong start but fizzles out down the stretch IMO. I wish they had more funky/groovy jams like Bobo & Futterman’s Rule. High 3

Oct 06 2025

I always find a few songs from early punk bands to get excited about. Difficult to keep me on board for a full album. Production seemed bright and crisp compared to others from the era. What I’d do to be a bored teenager one more time!

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Oct 09 2025

It was fun. Not safe for listening and driving. Will listen again.

Sheet Music by 10cc
Oct 10 2025

…speaking of Paul McCartney & Wings, did anyone get a whiff of borrowed piano riffs on the first song? No big deal, yet everyone’s shitting on Taylor for her creative interpretation of Where Is My Mind, sad emoji. I enjoyed this album, in the same way I enjoy listening to Ween. Will listen again

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Oct 11 2025

This was one of a few albums that set the bar for me in my early years. Still holds up, as do the goosebumps I still get listening to track 1 into. Sanitarium will be stuck in my head all weekend. I’ve heard a rumour that Battery and Damage Inc were sped up during production - cannot verify. Wouldn’t change my rating anyway.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Oct 14 2025

Oooh, macrame and shag carpet! I was surprised by how many of these songs I knew. Pretty cheesy overall, bonus star for nostalgia.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Oct 15 2025

Started up the truck and Changes was playing, thought.. oh man, Bowie put this out in 2013. Realized I was tuned into the radio. Couple of nice songs but probably won’t listen again.

Dummy by Portishead
Oct 21 2025

Decent background music. Couple heavy hitters.

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Oct 23 2025

I can listen to track 1 for days. Favourite Stones album. Just slightly more enjoyable than Slipknot.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Oct 25 2025
I See A Darkness by Bonnie "Prince" Billy
Oct 31 2025

I’ve always wanted to like this album more for some reason. Fan of some of his more upbeat material. There are a couple brooding bangers here though. I’ll keep trying!
