1001 Albums Summary

I can see the appeal of the album, it is an honest attempt at communicating topics that cover inner struggles, relationship issues, rage and aggression. It is also a well made/produced album. However, I could have enjoyed it a bit more if I was a teenager girl in the 90s, otherwise it's a below average album to me.

I tried to listen to the album and give it a chance but honestly, It wasn't engaging enough for me. Maybe it's for another time, another me.

An incredible live performance by an incredible person. Music aside, it is a selfless and empathetic performance. Definitely a deserves the 5 starts.

Even though I was busy and didn't pay full attention to the album, it was an interesting and engaging listen—a good one! The album's opening track, 'Get Ready for Love,' starts loud with the drive of the guitar sounding a bit noisy and compressed. However, the album quickly opens up with a much more expansive sound, the initial noise giving way to pleasant combinations of piano and acoustic guitars, and groovy baselines. The expressive and emotional vocals of Nick combined with the backing choir sound really good. The album keeps you engaged with the creative use of unfamiliar rumbling or squeaking noises scattered throughout. I loved 'Nature Boy,' 'Messiah Ward,' and 'Babe, You Turn Me On.' Meanwhile, 'Easy Money' felt emotional yet somehow catchy. The opening chords of 'O Children' reminded me of 'Zombie' by The Cranberries, though they didn't sound quite as compelling. Even though I didn't listen carefully to the second part of the album (The Lyre of Orpheus), overall I loved it. It is definitely an album I would return to and listen to while paying closer attention.

Enjoyed it more than expected. Although Dylan is below average as a vocalist, it is really apparent that he does not care, he cares in delivering his massages and in delivering he succeeds. Love the attitude.

Listened to the album while driving, definitely deserves paying closer attention, solid album. The harmonic entry of the solo at the end of the twilight zone, right after the second "enter this world of imagination" gave me goosebumps, wasn't anticipating that.

Didn't enjoy it that much, maybe I will if I relisten. But for now it is below average, 2 stars.

Love The Beatles. Revolver is a good album, not their best though.
