The Sensual World

Very solid album with nice production. Unfortunately I think the album doesn't manage to capture me at all. Definitely great background vibe music but the vocal performance comes off very flat to me, especially compared to their other albums.
Bowie is one of those artists where I listen and go "wow this is very well done and extremely creative." And proceed to never go out of my way to listen again except a couple of songs. I think his wide variety leads him to make great music that just isn't as good as the major artists of every genre he touches. Doesn't mean this album isn't very good, its just not memorable for me.
Amazing vocal work with mature lyrics that combine for a fun, memorable album. Although there are a few weak songs with good but not great production. The biggest struggle of this album is a lack of identity compared to her other albums, causing some to sound bland and corporate. But when this album hits, it fucking HITS.
Starts off pretty solid and then proceeds to be a jumble of uninspiring music. I could think of way too many songs that are better alternatives to every track on this album, and I still have no idea why its praised so highly.
Very nice production and instrumentals combined with flat and uninspiring vocals.
Very good :). Fun pop and good lyrics.
Some solid tracks with great lyrics, but the vocals just don't do it for me
One good song then it’s meh
One of my all time favorite pop albums
2nd best grunge album to Dirt.
Bowie seems to be able to make good music in any genre he touches, except none of it has been "amazing" to me.
