okkkk robert smith not the biggest fan of the man’s voice, but the sound of the band is so atmospheric and hollow (?) in a good way
karen carpenter has the voice of a freaking angel. like john denver. it’s just so pure and clear. feel like this would be a good car album. super 70s. “We’ve Only Just Begun” “Crescent Noon” “Mr. Guder”
straight 50's fire what a VOICE some of the songs are so silly goofy in a good way :^)
dude are you kidding goated album, no notes, perfection if you think wonderwall is overrated and isn't the PERFECT pop song, you are factually incorrect only real fans know that the B-sides are as good or even better than the official tracklist I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Noel Gallagher
pretty cool trip hop for the first couple of songs. that one song with sex lyrics and moaning REALLY ruins this album though. the back half of the album is weaker than the first half.
a bunch of british boys being british and making guitar music and being silly, but make it 60s I can see why you his album is influential (the production and effects) but didn’t really get into it
classic CCR!!! it’s so funny to think about how John Fogerty is singing about being “born in the bayou” when the band is literally from San Francisco. my longstanding gripe about CCR though is that after a while, the songs start melding together and sounding the same… they have one sound and then stick to it. but I’m not ruling out that this is a “me” issue.
wow I really liked this album! I have never heard of Lloyd Cole before, but I really enjoyed the jangly sound of these songs. sort of Smiths-y but without Morissey’s grating voice and self-absorbed lyrics LOL. peep the lyrics here too, I’ll have to read deeper into the literary references
FIRE classic rock album, sort of bluesy and ultra cool how have I never heard of these guys either?? “bad company” by bad company on the album bad company
okay I can see why people get REALLY into metal. not for me personally, but the guitar solos are still sick as hell
okay actually a fire album. major Elliott Smith vibes (cue Good Will Hunting). suuuper indie which is not what I always want to listen to, but this is awesome for what it is.
