Easy listening, poppy, fun, makes me feel like I'm in a film about a camp villain. Cool use of brass. Loses points for the guy in brownface on the cover.

Nice but generic indie rock album. Fav track was probably Suffering.

like the organ / orchestral bits - a bit cheesy? churchy bits go a bit christmassy sometimes , I think overall not for me

I love her, I spent the whole album reading about her life on Wikipedia and crying, RIP Billie

First synth-poppy album I’ve actually enjoyed

Joyous funky psychedelic rock, strong soul / gospel influences, great bass riffs - just fun and I will be listening again

Appreciate it for what it is but not for me outside of raucous pub setting

Cool concept - nostalgic, small-town, strong sense of place in English countryside. Very folky, features honky-tonks, harpsichords etc. Doubt I'll come back to it.

Quite like this - very musical. I like the sounds - experimental without being stupid

Mixed feelings. Like the crab. You can't help but be caught up in the aggressive energy, but it makes me feel kind of...dirty? Lol maybe I need to be more open minded. I may come back to this

It’s giving orientalist mish mash unfortunately. Looked up Malcolm McLaren afterwards and it seems to be an accurate picture of the artist. Better sampled by other musicians

Love this, particularly last track inner city blues. Simple, elegant, cohesive, really captured the essence of the time.
