Tim Buckley is a piece of shit for abandoning his son (I love Jeff Buckley). I get that funk songs are generally a little longer but these felt like the same thing for 5-7 minutes, which isn’t always a bad thing but was in this case. The sound is nice, and I can definitely see the appeal, but at times it seemed inauthentic. It sounds like the background music to a sex scene in the 70s in a movie that didn’t want to spend much on the soundtrack. Talks about sex like someone who has only watched porn and read bad wattpad smut. Overall, I think it is what it was received as: a mediocre album from a mediocre artist, but with one better than average song (in my opinion).
