...The Dandy Warhols Come Down by The Dandy Warhols
Nov 27 2025

Grungy version of Will-type music. Not quite up my alley but Pete International Airport's very stripped down and airy instrumental was intriguing. No other stand outs on this one for me...

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Nov 28 2025

A bit too hard to be found on most "divorced dad rock" playlists but could fit into the genre. Has some good stuff. The melodies in particular hit pretty universally on this project. 'Them Bones' solo was great. 'Dam That River' solo was also great. Honestly, guitar work all over this project is fantastic. Favorite song: Down In A Hole/Would? Least favorite song: Rooster

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Nov 29 2025

One of many classic albums I should have listened to by now. While haunting and a good fit with the general vibe and theme of the album, I just can't get behind the cadence in the vocals. Instrumentals are pretty good. Favorite Track: New Dawn Fades Least Favorite Track: Insight/I Remember Nothing

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Nov 30 2025

One of the classic artists of the Yacht Rock era. There's a special place for Steely Dan in my heart since my dad is a big fan. Lots of good stuff on this album and it opens with an absolute gem in 'Do It Again'. Light and airy throughout with great and catchy melodies. Favorite Track: Do It Again Least Favorite Track: Change of the Guard

Pornography by The Cure
Dec 01 2025

Lots of hypnotic instrumentals on this project which meshes well with the title. This reminds me of an angrier version of 'Unknown Pleasures' by Joy Division. Favorite Track: Cold Least Favorite Track: A Short Term Effect

Dec 03 2025

Have never been a huge Queen listener, but this album woke me up a little. Great guitar work and of course Freddie Mercury does his thing all over this one. Favorite Track: I'm In Love With My Car/The Prophet's Song Least Favorite Track: '39 (Hoot and Holler type music)/Seaside Rendezvous

Odelay by Beck
Dec 04 2025

Instrumentals are kind of all over the place, not in a bad way but in an organized chaos kind of way. Not a huge fan of the cadence and flow present on most of the tracks. Was good after a single listen. They didn't save the rest of the review so I don't remember faves/least faves.

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Dec 07 2025

Overall liked this nice melodies and guitar work. Faves: Wooden Ships/You Don’t Have To Cry Least Fave: Marrakesh Express

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Dec 09 2025

Famous Dave's type music (non-derogatory). Favorite: Spy Least: Land Ho

Fred Neil by Fred Neil
Dec 10 2025

Not bad at all Fave: The Dophins Least: Ba-Di-Da

1999 by Prince
Dec 11 2025

Cover matches the sound so well. Another album that sounds a little bit everywhere but not in a bad way. Fave: Lady Cab Driver (First Half)/International Lover Least: Free
