1001 Albums Summary

Upon listening again, I thought most about Merry Clayton singing the backing vocal on 'Gimme Shelter'. Best part of the album; highly encourage everyone watch '20 Feet From Stardom' for an extended anecdote on her recording performance. You also get to hear the isolated vocals. Wild stuff. And an absolutely legendary performance. Stones stuff is coo enough too, I guess.

Incredible. This is why you play the game. Enjoyable from start to finish. So many good ideas.

Incredible. Guitars sound great; voice sounds great... some cringe-y lyrics at times, but not enough to detract from the overall experience.

Listened to many punk bands back in the day; this was never one of them. Some cool riffs and melodies; doesn't feel seminal. Hence 3 stars.
