Fragile by Yes
Dec 17 2025

The most 1970s thing ever - 9 tracks, 5 of them sub 2 minutes and the others all long as hell. 3 of the long ones were pretty great though so can't rate it too low!

Melodrama by Lorde
Dec 18 2025

This album fucks. I listened to it 3 times. That's the review.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Dec 19 2025

I mean, it's a pretty good album tbh. I'm keen on folky stuff anyway, but I get why Dylan polarises. At least this is relatively early so you can make the words out. I might not listen to it again, but I enjoyed it just fine!

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Dec 20 2025

Toyed between a 3 and a 4 and settled on 4. While I'm unlikely to re-listen to it, the album was brilliant, exquisitely put together and clearly a masterpiece. My 5s are for records that I add to the rotation, and my bar for "I liked this but won't listen to it again probably" was gonna be 3, but I think I have to give this the extra mark for excellence. In hindsight, I should have done the same for Highway 61 Revisited but there you go.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Dec 23 2025

Meh. Very forgettable. One or two tracks were fine but mostly I didn't really enjoy this.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Dec 24 2025

This was.. not my thing. I did not enjoy it and would not recommend it.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Dec 25 2025

I enjoyed it, Juxtaposed With U is a classic and the rest of the album was pleasant

So by Peter Gabriel
Dec 27 2025

To be clear, Sledgehammer is a 6. The rest of the album was a lot of 2-3, so on balance a 3 seems fine, though I considered a 4. Very decent 80s pop, enjoyed it fine, aside from Sledgehammer nothing I'd cue up again (and tbh I prefer the live version of Sledgehammer anyway :P)

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Dec 28 2025

Great OG hip-hop. Really clean, laid back early 90s vibe. Loved it.

Revolver by Beatles
Dec 30 2025

So, I'm not a Beatles fan, but this album started with taxman and Eleanor rigby and I was kinda going "maybe I was wrong about them". Then we had extremely boring standard Beatles fare and yellow FUCKING submarine. No. Back in your boxes. Look, it was fine and the high points were excellent but also I want to give this a 2. 3 is probably a fair reflection though and I'm likely just being a hater

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Dec 31 2025

lovely lovely lovely

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Jan 01 2026

I don't care for country music. This is fine, but I can't get through it.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jan 05 2026

I expected to enjoy this more than I did.
