Dummy by Portishead
Dec 16 2025

fav: Glory Box Will revisit, I loved the vibe so much, even though I walked away with only one fav, something was so eery about it and so melodic.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Dec 17 2025

favs: lets stay together, how can you mend a broken heart and it aint no fun to me. sunday listens with fam hit the best.

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Dec 18 2025

fav: A Forest I don’t think I was into this that much. Which is surprising because I thought I would be into something described as gothic and electronic.

Boston by Boston
Dec 19 2025

This was a no brainer, just good time all around. fav: More than a Feeling, Piece of Mind

Different Class by Pulp
Jan 07 2026

fav: Common people ofc Other than that, the rest didn’t scratch that itch and honestly had me cringing. Music was great tho, lyrics didn’t hit. For me personally it is probably more 2.5/5 than 3/5.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Jan 08 2026

Some sequences were screechy. The whole of Hello morning, where they presumably were tuning the instruments. Unpleasant. Those noisy parts disturbed and successfully invited chaos. But then it picks u,p and you can jam to it energetically. I both enjoyed it and hated some parts. Like the ending to Duel in the Deep (or Longstockings beginning) that just sounds like a teapot whistle, not for me. favs: Assassins, Dracula Mountain Least fav: 2 Towers was 2 Repetitive for me. Duel in the Deep.

Blur by Blur
Jan 12 2026

fav: Beetlebum. Diverse album, with sounds and ideas. Enjoyed the music very much.

Darkness on the Edge of Town by Bruce Springsteen
Jan 13 2026

Stories of working class and troubled relationships with fathers - shoot it up my veins, right now. I like the little titbit that people noticed, that every song on side one of the original LP has a corresponding track on side two in the same sequence. Favs: Badlands, Adam Raised a Cain, Factory, Prove It All Night, Darkness on the Edge of Town

Sounds like it was fun to play, great tunes. Favs: Laughing, What Are Their Names, Traction in the Rain Also, the banger lyrics on this album, simple and ageless. For example: I thought I met a man who said he knew a man Who knew what was going on … I was mistaken, only a child laughing in the sun (bonus points for shivers when Joni chimes in)
