1001 Albums Summary

this has nothing to do with the album - i had a stomach bug from eating cold seafood and i also spun around for 5 minutes right before hitting play, so i was feeling nauseous the whole time. i think somehow the guitar and the percussions (?) made it worse. i will listen again in a better state of health, but for now, 3/5. favourite song: Turn Your Lights Down Low least favourite song: all from side A

if i celebrated christmas i WOULD be playing this whole album throughout december. i just think it's fitting, no idea why. also i love that five out of seven songs are longer than five minutes, which is great because all of them are bangers. favourite song: Bat Out of Hell least favourite song: All Revved Up with No Place to Go

what the helly dog... who thought this was a good idea... the whole time i was thinking "wow i'm so dry right now". and i'm ovulating too.

the stomach bug came back... anyway, i think the album is alright. a bit monotonous, but i don't listen to rap at all so maybe that's just how it is and i just don't like rap.

i remember thinking halfway through the second song "this sounds kinda wack. is it jazz ?" it is, in fact, jazz.

i miss when life was full of colours and whimsy.

it wasn't horrendous but i also couldn't recall any of what i just listened to.

i might have been blinded by nostalgia but anyway i loved it.

i never sought out these songs but i've heard snippets hear and there. it's nice to listen to them in full and understand why they've stood the test of time.
