Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jan 01 2026

Only knew a few songs before I listened but there were a few catchy songs in there with goof story telling and attitude.

Jan 03 2026

A unique mix of genres - spacey, jazzy, a little bit reggae in places... There's some fantastic instrumentals on this album, particularly the guitar and saxophone solos. I feel like I should have listened on big speakers or headphones to do it justice. It was an interesting listen but I didn't find the songs very memorable.

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Jan 05 2026

Lovely smooth tones and impressive musicianship. I personally enjoy some vocal features and feel this would have stood out nicely on one or two tracks to offer something a little different.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Jan 06 2026

This album is home to some classics from the cracking Black Dog opening track with a killer riff to the beautiful Stairway to Heaven. However, I felt a little let down by most of the other tracks since I hold these songs to such a high standard.

Pelican West by Haircut 100
Jan 07 2026

Pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this since I hadn't heard of the band. Reminded me of Duran Duran but more funky! The album was quite long though and started to feel a little samey

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Jan 08 2026

Couldn't get through the album as I found it really dull. Felt very flat. Not for me!

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jan 09 2026

Easy listening, soft rock with distinct vocals. Prefer their later songs.

Illmatic by Nas
Jan 10 2026

This album was an excellent showcase of rap and hip hop with elements of jazz. I can hear how Nas has influenced many artists.

Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole And The Commotions
Jan 11 2026

Not to my taste.

Jan 12 2026

Delivers attitude, energetic riffs and drums with shouty heavily accented vocals that you'd expect of English punk in the 70s. However, not to my taste.

2112 by Rush
Jan 15 2026

Very impressive musianship and vocals but often felt more like listening to a band jamming and lacked structure and strong melodies

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Jan 16 2026

This album offered a lot of diversity, each song bringing its own feel. With a name like Arcade Fire, I expected more oomph but felt like only a few songs offered the punch I was hoping for.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Jan 17 2026

I fairly enjoyable listen, rock n roll meets blues. There were only a couple of standout tracks for me then it started to feel a bit samey.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jan 20 2026

Phenomenal- electric performance from Thin Lizzy. How I wish I was there! I was singing along to the hits I knew but I enjoyed every other track just as much. This album delivered iconic bass lines, catchy songs, smooth vocals, tasty guitar solos, all with the added energy of the crowd to add the cherry on top.

Hotel California by Eagles
Jan 21 2026

Hotel California has to one of the greatest songs of all time. Closely followed by Life in the Fast Lane it was a strong start to the album. From thereon the album offered a mix of rock and roll riffs and ballads but I felt it was lacking some more memorable songs.

Jan 22 2026

Lana's unique expressive vocals together with her descriptive lyrics tell stories which give the listener an insight into her life.

Slipknot by Slipknot
Jan 23 2026

Full of energy, raw emotion and impressively fast drumming and guitar riffs. An iconic album that kicked off the nu-metal era.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jan 24 2026

This album features a couple of Bowie's greatest hits which are iconic in their lyricism and in showcasing Bowie's vocal range. Outside of Changes and Life on Mars, the rest of the album was a little odd.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Jan 27 2026

I'm always enjoy Simon & Garfunkels effortless harmonies and storytelling. However, aside from the well-known Mrs Robinson and a one or two other tracks, the others songs left little impression

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Feb 03 2026

Great album! Upbeat, emotional and fun!

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Feb 05 2026

Funky with good harmonies but found that the songs weren't very memorable for me
