Doralice- I like the non-lexical vocals. Got a bit of rhythm, makes me dance a little with it. Feels expensive and very jazzy. 5/5
Para Machuchar Meu coracao- bit more laid back. Nice piano. Feels like I’m at an expensive restaurant, however I would not pay much attention to this song if it came on. Makes me sleepy, kinda boring. 3/5
Desafinado- more focus on vocal. Nice precision and piano. Gets a bit boring and repetitive. However, is a nice song to listen to. 3.5/5
Corcovado(quiet night of quiet stars)- sets a very clear vibe. However, other songs in the album also achieve this and more. Missing something. Cannot see myself listening to again. Nice sax. 2/5
Corcovado (quiet nights of quiet stars)- bit confused why there is 2 called the same. This one is a little better I like the female singing at the start a bit more. Saxophone comes in a bit stronger. Nothing spectacular. 2.5/5

The girl from Ipanema( more artist)- vocals slay at start. Shorter- the right amount to make it enjoyable (doesn’t get boring but gives everything it should). Piano is cool. Vocals and saxophone together (heterophonic texture) is satisfying. 5/5
O grande amor- makes me want to sleep. Got a romantic feel. Too much saxophone. Mid vocals. Definitely a jazz sound. 2.5/5
Vivo Sonhando- nice melody. Would pick when looking for a jazz piece. Percussion and guitar carrying. Sax is soothing and not boring/sleepy. 4/5
First time listening the the doors and very impressed. Instrumentals are amazing and I found myself paying more attention to it then vocals( I even forgot about the vocals sometimes). Although I don’t like the band (as in actual members, particularly Jim Morrison), their music is actually good. Song reviews in no particular order:
Maggie M’Gill- Starts very nice. Very satisfying to listen to with headphones as parts are separated left and right ear. Love the bass. Percussion is at just the right volume. Guitar has bit of a percussive feel. Love the silence and how it starts up again. Lyrics are a bit basic but perfect for the piece. Found bobbing my head to the music. Added to playlist. 5/5
You make me real- the start sets the vibe straight away. Instrumentals 10/10. Keyboard mvp. I love the rasp in the vocals. Could see this as a very good dance music for people back in the day. I love the break and the way the keyboard and percussion come back. Cymbals on the drums add to the rhythm. I like the accenting and flow of the piece. Nice and quick. No complaints. 5/5
Indian summer- has a lot more chill vibes than other songs on album. Makes me feel like I can kick back, close my eyes and enjoy the music. Reminds me of siting on a couch and looking outside and watching the rain. Love the percussion and guitar. Felt like a rainy summer day. 5/5
Roadhouse blues- right from the start I love it. Harmonica is nice. Keyboard adds a bit of flair. Once again found myself moving to the music. The instrumental music is just wow, sensational. I like the call and response with vocals and harmonica and then guitar. Bit of a jazz like ending. 5/5
Land ho!- has a feel good vibe. Once again the intro and instrumentals slay. Vocals seem like more of a focus than other songs in this album. Love the breakdown before the first land ho is yelled. Has a bit of a folk or seashanty vibe; like a story is being told. 5/5
Peace frog- love the percussion, bass and keyboard intro. Rhythmic call and response guitar and keyboard is satisfying. Backing vocals add a nice touch. Guitar solo is amazing. I love the changes in musical textures, makes the piece a lot more interesting for the whole time.5/5
Waiting for the sun- more laid back. Made me kinda sleepy. Vocals were more impressive in the piece. Guitar performance was nice. Keyboard added nice touches. Bass and percussion held the whole song together. The little rests were nice. I love the flow of the song. Again rhythmically great. Felt very original. Catchy and found myself singing along towards end. This song surprised me and was not what I thought it was at the start. 5/5
Blue Sunday- vocals were good here. I like the accents and flow of the piece. Nice guitar runs. Had a romantic feel. Nice non-lexical vocals. Guitar solo was solid. Reminds me of the summer. 5/5
Ship of fools- the music had me right away. Love the keyboard. Felt a bit rebellious. I like the message they are trying to convey. Guitar has attitude. Drums are slaying. 5/5
The spy- another iconic intro, I swear they slay every time. I felt like a spy. Felt a bit western. I like how they change musical texture and thin in out to a few elements and bring it back. Solid vocal performance. Feels like I’m an undercover cia agent walking down the street. 5/5
Queen of the highway- keyboard feels a bit retro. Drums is domin-eating. Love the tempo pick up. Top tier accenting once again. Guitar doing some cool stuff. 5/5
First time hearing black sabbath and was a wonderful experience. Rip Ozzy. ALL the musicians are incredibly talented. Song review in no particular order:
Black Sabbath- I think it’s very cool and ominous to have the rain/storm and church bell rings to start. This should be seen more in music. Guitar is very cool and fits perfectly. I love how they continue to use bells as percussion. Drums make me feel like I’m at some sort of fire ritual. Drums and guitar mvp. The bass guitar has some cool bits that add to the whole thing. I love the little switch up in the middle. Guitar riff is nice and vocals are carrying. Great performance musically overall. 5/5
Behind the Wall of Sheep- intro sets the vibe and very well done. Love the drum. I love the almost call and response/ echo type thing going on with guitar and vocals. Found myself bobbing to the music. Guitar is amazing. Bass is added what is needed to make a good song great. Love the drum rhythm. It’s the type of guitar part that people sing when thinking of the song.5/5
Sleeping village- starting guitar definitely makes it feel like a “sleeping village.” Then there’s a pause and oh the villagers are definitely awake now. I wish I could wake up to this everyday. Amazing musicianship once again. I wish I was the drummer. Bass slay. I love the cowbell and tambourine(I think that’s what it is). How is the guitarist and bass guitarist fingers still attached. The boing from the harp is mvp. 5/5
Evil women- love the start. Feels nostalgic for some reason. Love the bass. Vocals are a little catchy. Guitar takes on a bit of a percussive role. Guitar is giving some spice and attitude. Once again blown away by everyone’s skill. 5/5
N.I.B- Guitar slays intro. I love how it fades away. Got my head rocking straight away. Guitar is mvp. I love the crash on drums. Tambourine is great. I like how it slows down. The changes in vibe/tempo/texture keeps it interesting. I like the little “oh, yeah”s. Got a bit sick of it towards end. Was good but not sensational. 4/5
Wicked world- Drums is absolutely slaying. Guitar and bass guitar are amazing as well. This song puts me in a good mood. Love the drum fills and catchy guitar riff. The quiet bit is cool and satisfying. The guitarist is going crazy. I love the drums bringing it back in. This song gives an effortlessly cool vibe. Felt a little long. 4/5
The wizard- love the harmonica intro. Catches attention straight away and fits in well once other instruments join. Has a unique vibe. Guitar is crazy. Love the drums so much. The little guitar trills add a lot. 5/5
Warning- is a very cool song. I feel a bit of spice from the instruments which I love. Vocals is mvp here. The bass is giving off such a cool vibe. The drums and guitar is insanely talented like how are their arms/fingers not filling of. Drums underrated. Guitar slowdown as satisfying and perfectly bring back to tempo. Bass is effortlessly cool. Guitar left me speechless. Everything was absolutely silent in that rest. Surprised it kept me entertained for such a long song. One of the best in the album. 5/5

Oh! You pretty things- piano at the start is calming and sets a nice vibe. When he started singing I didn’t really like it, his voice is not nice with the piano. He saves it when he comes I with the “oh you pretty things.” I love the sudden change in musical texture, I especially like the clapping and background vocals. It has a bit of a nostalgic old time London vibe. Overall apart from the first verse I love it. 4/5
Queen bitch- I love the non-lexical vocals at the start. The guitars are great and then the drums is the cherry on top. My head couldn’t help but rock along to the rhythm. This song would be perfect on a road trip. 4/5

Kooks- I love the intro. Has a nice and consistent vibe. Background vocals are good. Feels both chill and jazzy. I love how after he says “trumpet” there is a bit of trumpet played. Arrangement is nice. 5/5
The Bewlay Brothers- is a very quiet son at start. I love the crescendo. Guitar is very good. When it was good it was really good but at other times it was bad. Some cool and unique parts that I like. I was unsure how to feel at many parts. 3/5

First time listening to Alanis Morissette. Here’s a breakdown for each song:
All I really want: like the instrumental intro, the harmonica adds a nice touch and feels unique. My first impression of her voice is that I love it. She sounds iconic. Relatable lyrics. I normally listen to more “sung” music but I really like this for this more “talk” style. It just felt a bit basic so 3/5
You oughta know- I love the beat drop at start. It’s satisfying how they add more musical texture and the song starts. I think I might have heard the chorus before. I love the changes in dynamics. I like how it strips back to instrumentals in the middle. It’s brought back in nicely. Was getting kinda bored at some points but still really good. 4/5
Perfect- I love the shaker. Guitar chords are good and set the mood. Her vocals are really nice, didn’t realise she could sing. This song feels very raw and vulnerable unlike the others.
